Color Help!!

Going to my local Subaru dealership this weekend to order my 2014 model, but having the hardest time deciding between red, black, or wr blue. Does anyone have any information on any of these colors and if one is more prone to fading or chipping? Leaning more towards wr blue, but worried everyone and their mom will have one in that same color. Eventually like to get a set of either black or gold wheels, any influence in any direction would be much appreciated.

Red and black you have to wash every week but looks the best when clean

Go check one of the many threads regarding the same topic.

IMO its all personal preference. Get the color you like best.

The blue looks the best but if you don't want to have the same color as everyone then go for red.

Galaxy Blue Silica, but whatever you like, if you like WRB... just do it :)

There are tons of threads about this, including data of the most popular colors (based on sales, not polls).

It's still a personal choice at the end.

The only thing to consider, is WRB is unique to Subaru, that will differentiate you from the dozens of FR-Ss around.

Black might not be a good option if you don't garage your car and like to keep it clean.

I personally went for black, because my BRZ will be one of my weekend toys and garaged the rest of the time. Otherwise I would've gone with Red, white or silver.

Welcome to FT86Club!

I think gold wheels look good on black, but it's a pain to keep clean.

This.

Anyone can take care of a car and make any color last. The car hasn't been out long enough to have fading issues. Look at subarus with the same paint if it really concerns you, but you shouldn't make a decision basaed on what fades because that's easily prevented.

Get the color that makes you happy. I always loved silver until I got my Topaz Blue '03 330Ci used without color options. Then it was boring to me. WRB was an easy choice after that.

Plus, I avoid cop magnet colors like red or yellow, but again that's preference.

I agree with everyone, it's up to you. I've had black, blue, red and white cars. Just in my opinion down in Alabama. Black fades quickly, plus if you have pollen in your area, your black car will be yellow the majority of the days. Red fades quickly as well, but just like DoomsdayJesus /\/\ above red is a cop magnet down here it seems. Blue wasn't bad, but just seems like everyone has blue. I chose white, it looks good, doesn't show pollen as much, doesn't fade out of my experience so far, plus it was this or silver at the dealer and white caught my eye instantly.

GBS is not a 2014 color option. Subaru killed it off.

I personally think black looks the best when spotless. That said having owned black cars in the past, I won't own another. Too much of a pain to keep clean. I vote WRB, because I love the color and it is the only color unique to the BRZ vs FRS.

Try and find a dealership that has all 3 colors you're considering so you can check them out side by side. I personally went with red but red's my thing, and I've gotten as much "why'd you go with red...." as I have "I really like the red on that thing!". WRB is really really nice in person. It really pops. And black is just amazingly elegant imo (when it's clean).

OP is ordering a 2014 though, so no GBS unfortunately...
