At about 3k I hit a dog going 65. Went straight through the plastic grille in the front and smashed up my AC condenser. Ac still works but now the plastic grille won't stay clipped. Probably not gonna fix it.

Did you remove the dead dog?

Yes the dog is gone.

Airbags went off, windshield cracked, some accessory engine-bay components were damaged and part of the frame was bent. It doesn't take much to total modern-day cars. They pretty much destroy themselves in an effort to save the occupants.

It was on a windy road in the foothills when I tried dodging an object in the middle of a road after a blind left turn. I chose to go off the road resulting in me hitting an upright plastic reflector leaving a nasty dent on the hood and scratches on the bumper. I got it fixed right away.

muffinz 10-22-2013 03:57 PM

first: linear dent in the hood (on clear bra section) from a rock kicked up by a truck. No fix.

second: 3 chips on the hood (past the clear bra) and 5 small chips on the windsheild. Another rock kicked up by traffic. This one was so big that I ducked because I thought it was coming thru the windshield. No fix.

third: hooning around in the snow. Finish hooning, try to take a right hand turn at a normal speed, come over the crown of the road and its all ice, slide into the curb at about 2mph, throw the alignment out, scratch wheels. Drive w/ alignment out, destroy bearing. Fixed everything.

fourth: I think maybe a branch got kicked up by my rear tire and it scratched the ass of the bumper pretty bad. No fix.

fifth: someone dinged my door. Dime sized dent. No fix.

*note on incident 3: I took the car to the dealer I bought it from. They said I totally destroyed all my suspension and I needed like $1500 in repairs. (I think they tried to pull this on me bc I'm 24 and didn't think I was an automotive engineer.) I didn't believe them because I knew how gently I collided with the curb. Took the car to another dealership that I had experience with from another car, they said everything was fine, but I needed an alignment. Got the alignment done, problem solved. Also had them replace the bearing that went bad from driving w/ the toe out so much.

That plastic insert is like $45...

Well first, I work at a Toyota dealership. Week 2 of ownership a service tech rolled my car into a concrete wall and I had to have the rear bumper replaced. Week 3 another salesperson was backing in a Tundra and ran all over me. Week 6 door dinged twice within 3 inches of each other. And lastly the State was painting road lines without signs up and I now have yellow paint under the fenders on all four corners...

ow.. OW.. ow.. owww

A tire from an F-150 went shredding off on the highway, its rims molten and sparking against the asphault and a large peice of the tire hit the bumper. I think it bounced off the mustache for the most part, but it took a nice scrape which is pink, doesn't look too bad though!

1) Hail damage. Was visiting my parents so no garage space to put it in. Ran out with blankets... FAIL. A lot of cursing while I watch hopelessly from window. Planning on getting it fixed after winter.
2)Not sure how but light scratch on driver door should be able to get out. I was staring/stressing about it and using my one hand to rub it, seeing if it indeed was a scratch. However, my keys were in my other hand and lost my footing falling off the curb into my car and putting an actual scratch just above the window. Just ridiculous.

A girl who was texting hit me.. I don't want to talk about it anymore. bye.

I fell for the old "too close to the (at Whole Foods ) parking lot island, scrape trick." Adding a lip should cover it up...
