Dent on trunk seem, which lip will cover it?
I was unloading groceries one day, and didn't have any free hands to close my trunk. I used my elbow to close the trunk, and now I have a very VERY slight dent starting at the base of the ridge in the panel where it goes from a horizontal to a vertical surface, and extending approximately 1 inch forward towards the front of the car.
You can barely feel the dent, but it catches the light, making it look much worse. I'm debating whether to purchase a lip to cover the blemish. The lips I like are all ones that are very modest in size. The 5AD, and the Siebon SN being the prime candidates as of yet. My question for owners of these two trunk lips, or ones of similar design, do you think it would solve my problem (cover the blemish). This isn't a picture of my car. That would require putting on pants to go take pictures, and my neighbors yelled at me last time I went outside without pants. So you'll have to suffer through a generic trunk picture I found on Google that I have expertly (horribly) augmented in paint to show the extent of my damage. http://i43.tinypic.com/svq7hw.jpg The general location and size of blemish is in red. The giant yellow arrow pointing to area of the blemish is in yellow. Thank you for any assistance! |
I don't have either of those lips, but have you considered PDR (paintless dent removal)

I have the Seibon SN lip spoiler and from what I see in the picture, I don't believe it would cover it. I will try to get a picture for you so you can compare.

I might just order a lip, test fit to see if it covers the damage, and if not, just go for PDR. Thanks for the tip! |
