Are the 2 'ribs' on the back of the side skirt hollow or solid? Wondering if I could sand them off and then repaint them. :)

So the interior side near body car is concave and there are two long dual-adhesive strips along all length , no clips therefore.
About painting....this isn't a big issue (ABS), but on top border is there a soft PU adhesive strip (as for the late side of front STI lip) that cannot be painted. I don't know if removing these stripes the skirts will maintains a good profile without any spaces. I suppose yes but not sure.
The top soft stripes are not only for "look" but can avoid entrance of water and so on, causing adhesive stress.
I decide to install as so they are...on black (high quality painted)

anyone got the instruction??

Are there also instructions for the front lip and other STI parts? This will be my first attempt at installing anything on a car so can anyone comment on the ease of installation or should I buy the parts and bring it to a professional?

Would also be good to know if there are many holes that need to be drilled (for the STI kits)...

I have a scan of the STI lip somewhere...plenty of drilling required.

Was gonna let subaru fit them for me, but they charge like 4k for just the STI kits here in Australia, no wheels included or anything.... I could get alot better aftermarket ones for that price or an awesome Turbo kit...

No, you need to drill one hole up front, behind the wheel on each side. There's another sheet that has templates, you tape the template on and drill a pilot hole, then increase to 8mm. I think that worked out to 5/16. I forget exactly. Just enough to put the push-clip in.

Another template is used for the center of the side skirt, so you can mark how high it should be on the body (so it doesn't sag in the middle). Took a while to figure out since I can't read Japanese, but then I opened my door and it all fell into place. If I can find a long enough USB cable, I'll get that page scanned in and share it.
-------

Does anyone know where to get a similar double-sided tape that these come with? I got my side skirts used and had to peel it all off. It was much thicker than the 3M tape I can find everywhere, so I doubled up but it's just barely not enough for the rear of the skirts where the emblem is. One side is pulling away and it bugs me. Can't seem to find a thick double-sided automotive tape, or most of them just don't list thickness. I think it's at least 1/8".

Same here! Anyone has the install for the sides and rear spat?

Looks like rears do not need drilling into metal. Not sure about the oem skirts.

At the Subaruonlineparts website, they have the installation instructions for some of the accessories. Here's the page for the rear spats. It looks like they don't have instructions for the sides, but you might ask them if they can get them.
