some bluetooth options missing

I'm linking my Note 2 to my FR-S 10 with the Pioneer HU. I'm using the player that came with the AT&T Note 2. It connects, the phone works great, music plays. The problem is that when I connect to the music player, there is no option to scroll through the albums. It just presents a scrambled list of songs in what appears to be no particular order. Is there a setting I'm missing or is it the phone? If it matters, the folder structure on the phone is <Artist> <Albums>. The songs are labeled by order number and name within the Album folder.
So, for example, //sdcard/Music/Aerosmith/Rocks has within it
01 - Back in the Saddle
02 - Last Child
03 - Rats in the Cellar

and so forth.

Anybody have any ideas?

the bluetooth audio you are using is streaming the music played by your phone..
This means that your Phone or tablet is choosing the music and sends it to your radio.
This bluetooth streaming doesn't give the HU access t o your Phone.
So the unit can't see the folder structure.
The easiest way to play the music that you want is making a playlist on your Phone and play that one.

If you need more detailed information about this let me know.

I don't go to the phone and start anything. The HU detects the phone and I select Bluetooth as the music source. This starts streaming on the phone instead of choosing the music?
I can skip through songs by using the controls on the HU. Is there a way to set it up so the HU can scan the phone for music?

It is normal that if the Phone connects to the unit it just starts playing music that was played last on the phone.
If you want to browse your music, you have to do this on the Phone.
This is a limitation of bluetooth (not of the HU).
