Howsit guys!

2 Teaser pics below. We decided to wrap an 86 we had in stock in Matte Black and added some custom decals. What do you think?? Will be officially launching as soon as we can source some nice rims, and rear spoiler to go with it. Any suggestions??? cc @Ryan86

Thanks!
Zak

:Update:
Here she is all washed up and under lights. Stunning if I may say so! Pic below.

I think a carbon fibre lip spoiler would look good. Maybe the Seibon SN Spoiler (http://ft86speedfactory.com/seibon-c...er-sn-514.html) or something similar.

ZakD 09-09-2013 04:25 PM

Hmmm. Thanks @Laser69. @Ryan86 also sent me pics of an aggressive bigger spoiler, similar to the 'aero' kit look. Was hoping I could find some stuff locally, but realising now, that's probably impossible :(

very ugly wheel. i think go for a ALINE Wizard rim or a ROTIFORM those two you can get easily.

Adam86 09-10-2013 09:44 AM

autostyling looks like they have nice wheels for a 86

Must agree, on both counts...
- Dont like that wheel
- Check out the ALine range. Some nice affordable wheels.

See http://www.alinewheels.co.za/cgi-bin...dwheels.pl?All

I've got #029 GTR-Sport and I love 'em.
I agree with Adam86, #033 Wizard is also nice.

ZakD 09-10-2013 11:24 AM

Awesome. Aline have wicked wheels.

There's one called Demon Black. Has nice red outlining the black

Thanks Ryan,

that lip you ran, is it really buggered or did you get tired of it, hence the TRD kit

Its a gonna, hit a brick lying on the freeway, was driving into the sun and did not see it. BOOOOM carbon everywhere.

I have the sides, part of the Downforce Lip Kit, which IMO is the best lip kit around. I will import another front lip when the R is stronger and sell it locally.
Heres a teaser on Black

Adam86 09-12-2013 09:47 AM

Very nice number plate scarl3t... I lax it. That lip is abit to small maybe a bigger one would be better.

Now got to help @ZakD get his 86 mod:thumbsup:

Adam86 09-12-2013 10:22 AM

Ryan86 loving the Rota t2r wheel looks great!!!

ZakD 09-12-2013 10:35 AM

@Ryan86 Yeah. It's a bit of a learning experience here. Accessories are so hard to come by locally. Did speak to someone at Max Motorsports in DBN. Looks promising. May be onto a nice spoiler and waiting for the pics of his mags.

Heyy..

May be a controversial choice, but we found the mag! A-Line, from Supaquick.

Obviously this is a 4 bore in the pic, apparently they have a 5-bore for the 86. Sending today for fitment - will post once its done.

While looking for the PCD technical info on the 86, I came across this really great, in-depth page. Check it out.

Those are nice @ZakD, the red may blend in with your car or look rice, I would suggest spray them Plastidip black, will look hot.

ZakD 09-13-2013 06:22 AM

@Ryan86 Ugh. Going through the catalogue with our manager again, supaquick now says that one has been discontinued

Try not to laugh too hard...

Supaquick only had these in stock. The Demon Black mags should be coming in by Monday, and we will send the car in again to have it changed. ALSO, we're getting the seats done in a nice pale red leather. Will post once done!

painted them with Signal Red hobby pot paint (normal enamel paint) had done this on my MR2 aswell, always used to use engine enamel heat resistant paint, but i always had to redo it almost every 3 months as they burnt and started peeling, with the brush painted enamel ive never had problems :party0030:

Vic_RSA 09-15-2013 04:50 AM

Vinyl wrap looks good. Mags well um, what was wrong with stock till the bigger rims could come...

Looks better than the standard wheel but not a fan of all the red.

86 Dreams 09-16-2013 08:51 PM

Looks great! Maybe paint calipers red? I think it needs something on the fenders or doors to match rear graphics.

Scarl3t 09-17-2013 03:28 AM

i guess taste differs, but for me personally i think its a bit over kill and besides, matt black is very last year, if anything i would lose the red stripe on the side sill

Ryan86 09-17-2013 03:39 AM

@ZakD
Drop the suspension add a big ass wing and possibly make the fender ducts red as the front looks too bland.

Taking this is a show car, the red in the wheels OK, but maybe a plastidip black would make the car look more aggressive. Plastidip is amazing and strong, wont peal from brake heat.

Very true about the matte black - saw it on a Ford Sierra recently - quote possibly the most uncool car to have in that colour!

+1 for Plastidipping wheels black - maybe even try and do the tailpieces aswell as an experiment. Suspension drop will also look good - not too low though.

It needs a wing!!! :bonk:badly!!!

Yep, the wheels look 1000% better. I really didn't like the temp wheels.
Matt black - mmm, not my personal preference, but quite eye-catching.

Just for interest's sake, here's a pic of Imperial Nelspruit's demo 86.
Very eye-catching on the road, and a totally different take with the same intent...

ZakD 09-17-2013 03:51 PM

Thanks guys for your critical feedback. I actually need to mention you on our blog for the help.
@Ryan86 Will definitely look into the plastidip, and that Imperial 86 is actually done very creatively (Can see Imperial's participation in motorsport influence)

Thing is I know lots can still be done, but strictly speaking this is not just a showpiece, we actually need to sell the car, so cost is an issue. But let's see, public response has been awesome so far.

By the way here's a short story of the car, and pics. Will add the forum mention tomorrow. :D
