Advan TCIII or Work XD9

Decision time again and curious to see what you guys think. I've narrowed down my next set of shoes to these two options. Which one do you guys prefer?

Advan TCIII 18x9.5 +40

Pros:
Lightweight ~20lbs
Fits BBK
Not many 86's with them.

Cons:
Black color again
More expensive

Work XD9 18x10 +38

Pros:
Color Matte Blue
Big lip
Lower priced

Cons:
Heavy ~24lbs
Not BBK friendly
Lots of 86's with them

But which is more appealing? Which would want to look at everyday?

black is e z er to keep clean bc u can can't tell it is dirty :P but works looks like it has a deeper lip. I always liked the deep dish look. :)

Purely looks? xd9's but not being able to fit BBK's and weight bugs me. The advans aren't as pretty but still very nice and are a better fit for "performance".
Then there's the price difference, about $300-500 depending on vendor.

why not getting both?

out of the two i'd say the Advan's. despite the price overall it's the best all-round wheel of the two. with your last wheel choice i pegged you as someone who would be a bit more different (that's a good thing).

So without having me search a great deal...

1). What's your current setup? Coil-overs I'm assuming? What size tire are you running or planning to run on either of those rims? The 18x10's could become a clearance issue depending on your setup. Did you already have a BBK or planning on getting one in the future?

2). What are you planning on using the car mainly for (i.e. performance, looks/car shows, etc.)? Is 4lbs realistically going to bug you that much if you only use it for street use or mild "spirited driving"?

I personally would go for the XD9's. I love the deep lip and the matte blue color. Even though I love Advan wheels, let's be honest in that their selection of wheel sizes/offsets SUCK. I'd personally consider the Work Meister S1's in a custom size/offset/color if you're going for that 5-spoke look.

If you like those Works, just save up and get the Volk CE28Ns. You won't be disappointed. Probably about 8lbs per corner lighter thereabouts.

If I could afford both then I would get neither and go with a custom set of forged wheels.

I have coilovers.
Don't have BBK's yet but I'm planning to get them.
I do plan on doing some autoxing.
Advan has terrible sizes/offsets? Didn't know 18x9.5 +40 was considered terrible. In my opinion it's one of the best sizes/offsets for this car.

Yeah I've always leaned more towards the advans but that matte blue and deep dish xd9 kept messing with me, lol. Love those volks but I think I want to stay with 18's. Hell if something else catches my eye before I make a purchase then I'll probably won't be getting either of these, lol.

TCIIIs, seen a lot of Twins rocking the XD9s. Your preference though, go with your gut feeling.
