How do you feel about putting TRD parts on your BRZ and vice-versa?
Does having parts on the BRZ with TRD logo Or STI Logo on the Frs/GT86 look weird/funny ??
Just wondering... I like the look of these guys on our fake vents. http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/IMG_1581.jpg I mean it seems more useful than just having random design there. |
I would buy those in a heartbeat if someone made a CF rep with no logo. 500+ is a hefty price for those side vents.
|
i thought the same thing, i'd probably favor STI badges if i were to put any on simply to keep more in line w/ subaru.
those vents look good but i saw a different set on here that i liked... course i cant find the actual thread, but they were similar in design to this, not exactly these tho(i dont think) http://www.carmodsaustralia.com.au/e...-16705-lrg.jpg |
I feel like if I put something like that on the car, I'll be walking up to an empty side vent one day.

I personally love that we have 2 OEM + manufacturers to choose from. On my personal BRZ I have the TRD Steering Wheel and the Toyota frameless mirror, and recently I have been lusting after the TRD shift knob. However I am a huge fan of the STi lips, and the STi wheels. I don't think it makes the car look weird at all, in fact the people who are "in the know" will know exactly why you have TRD parts on your Subaru or STi parts on your Toyota/Scion. I've always liked the subtle parts that normal people can't spot, but a true car person will notice it instantly, and I think both TRD and STi make some really nice parts that fit in that mentality perfectly. :)
So basically, a Big +1 for mix and matching STi and TRD!!! :) Thanks, Rick |

If the factory is still going to make one..... |
I love the partnership with Subaru and Toyota on these cars. I love that we can choose from two factory aftermarket manufacturers.
That said, I won't put anything on my Subaru if it has a TRD logo. I think it would look out of place and I am OCD about that on my car. I also won't throw STi badges on it. |

So you have no problem driving a car designed by Toyota and has a big "TOYOTA" right on the top of the engine, but you have a problem putting "Toyota Racing Development" parts on the same car? OK- Got it!:sigh: |
I don't like the logos. I want it to be clean. I debadged the rear, I am taking the Perrin sticker off my shifter, etc. I can't do anything about the engine cover.
I like the TRD spoiler, and I would probably put that on my car, so long as there is no TRD logo on it. |
I'm with Rick, it is nice having the flexibility of choosing between two different "tuning companies." Plus who cares if it says TRD or STi? If anyone makes that big of a deal about putting a TRD part on a Subaru or vice versa needs to get a life. lol

couldn't have said it better myself, i agree w/ rick.
people might not mix & match but having the option is something worth recognizing for sure. don't really have a preference over mix & matching yet...although haven't really gotten that far yet |
