IG2 Relay issue

So like an idiot I pulled out my IG2 Relay with the battery still connected. Now the car has no power. I have horn, lights, radio, windows etc. Everything except gauges and check lights. If I turn the key to start I get nothing. What do I need to do to fix this???

I assume you checked the fuse?

B_Rad 09-06-2013 11:07 AM

yes all the fuses are good.

Put the relay back in.

B_Rad 09-06-2013 11:48 AM

^really the relay is back in. Everything is back in the factory position, no fuses blown. getting ready to test the relays to see if they are working properly.

 I have nothing. Good luck.

Wondering if that would trip some security routines. My suggestion is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes and re-try.

Edit: Security light would be flashing if so... from your description you have no dash lights. Try battery but I'd recheck all fuses and fusible links.

the Security light does the normal flash. I've had the battery disconnected to reset everything and still nothing. If i plug in an OBDII code ready it cannot connect to the CPU so there is no power getting to the ECU. I did a quick check of all the relay's and they all seem to be working. About ready to have it taken to the dealership.

did you check main fuse?

B_Rad 09-07-2013 12:35 PM

Is it located in the main fuse box under the hood? If so then yes. The car is currently at the dealership for diagnostics.

Got the car back from the Dealer yesterday after work. Nothing major was harmed. Ended up the Gap on the Relay clip for the #3 terminal was opened to far. It was causing lower voltage to trickle to everything down stream.
