Vaughn Gittin Jr. Fined for Illegal Suspension Mod
 
Vaughn Gittin Jr. has been fined by Formula Drift $5,000 and 30 points for illegal rear suspension modification on a live axle car (Rulebook 4.3). This is the largest fine to date in Formula Drift history.

There were suspiciouns last year but I think they let him slide..

Always hated Gittin. First time I saw him was at D1GP World All Stars in 2005 at Irwindale. He "won" that event after all of his opponents "spun." He's a good driver, but he always rubbed me the wrong way.

haha, right there with you on that one, I think the entire crowd was calling BS, especially back then when the US was still catching up to Japan's drift game.

He was misrepresenting the Mustang, first thing I thought when it said "illegal suspension mods" was that he ditched that live axle fossil, for some IRS.
