Video editing

Howdy y'all,

I am using VirtualDub to compile my gopro clips together and would like to use an image I created to indicate the where and the when the particular video took place as a 15-30 second clip at the beginning and end of each video. I just cannot figure out how to convert an image file (of any type) into an avi. I was hoping someone could provide me with some pointers. Thanks in advance!

Format Factory is some free software that can convert anything into pretty much anything else. It might be able to do .jpg to .avi.

If that doesn't work, there's some old ass software called Animation Shop that will do it for sure. I still have Animation Shop 3, which came out in 2001, I think. It works though.
