If you have so many orders that you can't fulfill them and provide proper customer service, but that increased profit doesn't allow you to hire more staff, then you're doing something wrong. Either it's a pricing issue (this is the company you get when you try to sell the cheapest products for the cheapest prices) or a workflow issue.

Basically, it sounds like they're running at capacity. If you're at capacity with limited profits, then you've yet to find the equilibrium price of your product/service.

This is of course assuming that your goal is a smoothly running business with happy customers.

I'm the same way, except with restaurants.

in all fairness to the company, you paid for 2 day shipping, not 2 day delivery. this means that if it takes them 7 days to pack your parts in a box and have UPS pick it up, it will be to your door in 9 days from the time you placed your order. Their initial mistake sounds like they didn't communicate how long it would take them to process your order.

Besides that, the way he handled your complaint was completely unacceptable. Instead of apologizing and explaining the situation, he made excuses and indirectly blamed you: "none of our other customers have a problem".

Every body makes mistakes and there are problems in every business so I was ready to give this guy the benefit of the doubt but it was his reaction that really screwed him, I will not be purchasing from this company unless I see a deliberate turn around in their customer relations.

Also, good for you, OP, for realizing their stupidity and gracefully ending the conversation.

when you chose two day shipping and it is like a thursday after like 1pm or a friday, two day shipping is 2business days and maybe one day of processing, there for its not really 2 day shipping. its just like 1day shipping its highly unlikely you will get it next day.

varies from business to business i think. at my company its basically based around when UPS(for example) comes for the last pick up of the day. if the last pick up is 3pm, and you get an order in by 2pm, usually ships same day. if you order after 3pm, it's usually put on the first shipment that goes out the next day. the quality of the management system affects lead time from what i've observed. simply my observation, and every business is different

just an example and obviously based on whether the product you order needs to be assembled. if you order a phone case then it simply needs to be packaged for shipping, they have it pre-made on their shelves. better companies run smoother. it's almost impossible to know how a company functions without customer reviews

exactly but generally that is how it works weekends dont count as business days

This is what you get with aftermarket parts. It is normal.

You need to know who to buy from and how to do it.

Your Lucky!

Many experiences are far worse than yours.

We weren't hacked off over a day or so of shipping time. It was back ordered for a week and they have no system in place to let you know so you can look elsewhere if you need (or want) it in a hurry. Plus if it is back ordered, it is clearly a waste of money to pay for express shipping. Worst of all was his attitude, which was essentially, "screw you, I have lots of other customers."
