FRS Preordering at Toyota of Pasadena

Hey y'all,

I went to Scion/Toyota of Pasadena today to inquire about the FRS. They don't have any info lolz. They barely knew about it, and according to the kindly gentleman, he and his manager just spoke about taking preorders earlier this week. They said that the car was coming out in mid-Summer, but weren't entirely sure. Both admitted that I probably knew much more about the cars than they do haha.

I spoke at length about this n that with the salesman, Jay King, and he even admitted that I have prolly seen the training manual even before he lolz (and he went on to say that he's required to be certified in every car on the lot lolz). Our meeting today was very positive, as he showed an exceptional sense of customer service and compassion. I think we shook hands about 8 times today haha.

Anywho, I gave him my contact info by filling out an "application" which he said that he'd start a "new folder" for. They're going to get back to me sometime next week with more info on preordering/deposits/etc.

I'll update as soon as I get more info. Anyone who would be interested in preordering or trying out a GB at this dealer is encouraged to post. I refuse to go to Longo Toyota in El Monte because every time I've gone there, I've been ignored or overlooked as a customer. Also, the salesman Ryan Tsai at Longo has discontinued responding to any emails. This is prolly cuz he knows he aint making any money any time soon lol. What a dufus.

FYI: I haven't withdrawn from the GB at Irvine (yet). Just doing a little shopping while I have some free time on me hands :)

Stay away from the toyota dealer in Pasadena.... They literally lie to sell their cars.... I had a family member of mine whom they told the Siena they were buying was AWD... I made them take the car back and talked to the manager...

Go to Longo or other dealers . My 5 cents...

The salesman never called me back, so fuck him and that dealership. You're right lolz.

Fuck Longo too, because they never contacted me about the FRS after I emailed back n forth with the salesman a LONG time ago about preordering. He prolly realized it was gonna be a hot ticket item, so didnt worry about getting my business. Too bad for him and Toyota. But it works out, cuz I dont wanna pay taxes to El Monte. :D

Try Toyota/Scion of Hollywood :). Talk to Reza who is the internal sales director, Great guy to deal with.

My parents have purchased 2 cars from Longo, but I just don't like their customer service...

Anyone have any experience at Puente Hills Toyota?

I've talked to South Coast Scion and South Bay Scion today. South Coast hasn't officially started a list yet and said they would call me back when they start and South Bay has about 6 people (including myself) in line and said they will take deposits of $500 next week (fully refundable).

Just got off the phone with Jay King (salesman) at Toyota of Pasadena. He said that he didnt call me back because "they" took the paperwork from him. I filled out an app just to have my contact info for his "file." He said that they were taking preorders, but unsure of the process. Then he took my phone number again and said he'd call me back with more information about pre-ordering the FRS within 15 minutes. I'll update this post as soon as I get some info lolz.

Update: I'm #4 at Pasadena.

FYI: the ppl there don't know shit about the car, so be confident when you tell 'em what you want in terms of color and transmission. Also, they don't have a list of options yet.

Only if it comes out before the BRZ, lol. Time is money, money is time. The $4k extra is totally worth it for the BRZ, but I'd rather get the one that comes first. I hope you know what I mean... So if the FRS ends up coming first, Imma just give my spot to someone who wants the SWP BRZ Limited lolz. I'll just have 'em paypal me $100 or something.

Though ppl say Pasadena literally lies to their customers, Jay King seemed pretty genuine. His self-admitted cluelessness about the FRS was so genuine that I wasn't worried about this cat trying to sell me some bullshit haha.
