WTF is a "Wind Booster"
 

I got this guy in Japan trying to sell me a Wind Booster. I have no idea what the hell this thing is. He says he has a 4-mode and a 9-mode controller?

It's like a Drive-By-Wire throttle controller. It modifies DBW signal to get more repsonse or fuel economy.

Dudes trying to sell me one for 145 shipped; I don't know of if it's a waste of money or if it's actually useful

The cusco one is $500, the AVO one is like $215. Having driven a car with the AVO, it was night and day. Almost like having a throttle cable.

For someone like me who hates the drag high temps and the AC put on the motor, its nice to not have to mash the gas at lights when this is on.. I have the Apexi TC which happens to fit exactly in the middle space between the TC and Sport mode buttons.. :thumbup:
