overpipes

I have on order the Full Blown Turbo kit, and the Tomei 80mm titanium exhaust.

I need an overpipe I believe to finish off the exhaust system.

Do I also need a front pipe?

I've looked, and the overpipe looks to simply be a twisty, bent pipe with flanges.

Is there anything special about them? Is there one that stands out above the rest?

I've read about fitment issues, is there one that fits better?

I'm hoping my parts will be about a week away, so I'm also hoping to get an overpipe that is in-stock and available.

Check out ft86speedfactory.com for a good selection of overpipes. The three best I've consistently read about are Perrin, Motif, and Nameless. The Nameless is a little more, but includes hi flow catted downpipe.

From my experience private label will hit the frame or sway bar dont know which it is for sure but it will hit. Its not bad but you definetly will feel it when you hit bumps in the rd going at a good amount of speed. Ive heard perrin is pretty good with their fitment

where in norcal are you located?

i can make an overpipe for you in 2 days and you can come pick it up :)

but from your original post, you still will need a frontpipe to complete the exhaust system

Same suspension and looks like the same exhaust now...I like how u think, I went with the fa20club though, regardless can't wait to see your build.

I'm currently running a Full Blown kit, and I've got the Ultimate Racing 2.75" overpipe and frontpipe combo, to my knowledge its the largest diameter overpipe out right now, and it fits great, the quality is top notch, and fitment with my turbo kit is spot on, no knocking or rubbing anywhere :)

I got a question if you don't mind me asking on your thread.

Does a aftermarket overpipe make that much of a difference over the stock overpipe to warrant $200 to $400.

another good question if you dont mind me asking is... so does it go header, overpipe, front pipe ( or down pipe), then mid pipe, ( which should be most cat back exhausts) ? im also interested in doing full exhaust set up

Header, over pipe, front pipe, catback. Down pipe is only if you are running a turbo (then header goes to turbo, down pipe goes from turbo to over pipe).

I have the JDL overpipe and midpipe, and they both fit decently with my Full Blown kit. I had to redesign the bracket that mounts the exhaust to the transmission as the OEM one didn't line up, but I have plenty of clearance everywhere with this setup.
