This supposed to fix the idle dip problems? Mine sometimes stumbles but not to the point where I'm worried.

Copy/paste from the TSB article:

Quote:

Some 2013 model year FR-S vehicles may exhibit intake and/or exhaust camshaft position sensor
related and/or engine misfire DTCs (P0340, P0341, P0345, P0346, P0365, P0366, P0390, P0391,
P0301, P0302, P0303, and P0304) due to the camshaft position sensor clearance being out of
specification. In addition, some vehicles may also experience rough idle or extended cranking. This
bulletin provides inspection and repair procedures to address this condition.

This bulletin applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown

Ah! Got a feeling when the toyota tech flew in a week ago and trouble shooted with my P0351 he might have just reflashed. I couldn't ever feel the car miss under WOT in higher rpms but it would throw that code. Now my car starts right up ( much faster than it used to ). Runs a lot smoother as well.

Has anyone been having this problem and did the TSB resolve the issue? Toyota has has my FR-S for about a month now and still can't fix the issue after 3 attempts. They tried shimming the sensor twice and then tried changing out a fuel injector and appear stumped at this point. Each time I pick up the car and don't even make it home before the check engine light is back on.
I really need to get the car back as I have new billet front lower control arms that I need to get tested.

Sounds to me like they should give you a new car if they can't fix it. Time to call corporate and get a case going.

Yeah, I'm getting pretty frustrated at this point. If it was just a second car I bought for a toy then I wouldn't mind as much but since it was purchased to be used for R&D for our suspension parts (SPL Parts) then it seriously impacts our business.

Do you know which code you're seeing?

Dealer just called and they're supposed to call me back with the code after talking with the tech. Told me they think it might be an issue with a valve and they're going to pull the head off tomorrow to inspect it.
