Scion FRS lip

I want to buy a lip because I've been scraping a lot. I just want a lip for now and preferably poly urethane. I don't want fiberglass since its so sensitive. I was looking and I really like the TB Seibon front lip but I havent seen many pictures of it. Just wondering what the community suggests for a good inexpensive front lip.

should probably ask in the exterior modifications section. but, i think the TB lip is unique and a nice design. I've only seen pictures of it on one car. It is quite expensive for a front lip. I think the stillen front lip is worth checking out as well.

Yep, I agree that some of those parking stops can sneak up on the FR-S, but how is a "lip" going to help .... ??

So I would be scraping the lip rather Han the body of the car. It'd be cheaper to get a lip than get a new bumper

I scrape the bottom of my bumper as well with no lip, but if you attach a lip, and scrape the bottom of the original bumper (at same height), it will basically try to shear off of your lip, and may cause even more damage.

Honestly, it makes no sense to me, you're going to be scraping places you would normally clear outright. And, in places you would normally not clear, you would be inducing a lot more force on your bumper and lip.

I could be wrong, but that's my intuition.

If you could attach a very thin "lip", say, 1/8" thick made of plastic, that may save the bottom of your bumper. Wouldn't be very difficult to make on you own, probably.

I have the APR wind splitter, it keeps my bumper from getting scraped up. Attachment 50121

at $340 for a splitter , I don't think that's a route one would choose and its very expensive.

I did found this awhile back when i scraped, wish it came to fruition ,but I guess not enough interest.

I agree, getting a lip will only exacerbate the problem. If you scrape the bottom of your bumper you'll crunch the lip in the same places. This could cause more damage to the bumper and undertray, depending on how the lip is attached.

Well, I've found that the underneath of the bumper can take some pretty darn hard scrapes and not damage the structure of the bumper. The scrapes will look nasty if you lay on your back and look up ..... but how much of your time are you (or anyone else) going to be doing that .... ;)

This I know ..... because, I was not used to driving "lower than parking stops" cars ..... http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...mages/cry2.gif . I'm getting better .... ;)

Now, I like my car to look nice too, but I'm not going to worry about what I can't see from standing up.
