FRS dent on roof and hood!! :(

3 Attachment(s)
:mad0260: So as I was cleaning my FRS today when I noticed a fairly large dent towards the center of my hood (by the windshield). At first I thought the curvature was part of the design then I realized that this in fact was a dent.... After examining it I quickly scanned the rest of the body for any other unusual dents and of course noticed another one by the edge of the roof.... I'm assuming a ball had bounced on the car and caused this as I have no other explanation to how such damage could happen.

This absolutely infuriated me as the car is not even 1 month old....:mad0260::cry:

I am covered for dings and dents repair through my dealership as part of a warranty/insurance package but it seems as though it will only cover the hood and door.

Anyone know if these dents can be removed through PDR? There is no paint damages whatsoever and the curvature is rather smooth.

HELP!

on the hood can you just pop it from behind? i haven't investigated how the skeleton of the hood looks so not to sure. as for the hood sometimes if you get a key board cleaner and aim it upside down so the cold (refrigerant?) comes out then you heat it with a hair dryer can pop it out as the dents don't looked to creased, other than that i'm lost :(

Jesus that fucking sucks. Very sorry to see that. It's amazing how little respect folks have for other people's property these days.

I'm betting a good PDR guy can fix that such that you'll never be able to tell it happened.

I know, this isn't even the first occurrence... 3 days after I purchased the car I had noticed a small door ding on the passenger side... all after making a point to park at what seemed to be safe locations and area.... I learned the hard way that some things are completely un-avoidable no matter how hard you try. Just can't catch a break. Luckily I purchased an insurance/warranty package that covers dings and dents. Hoping the dealership does a good job getting them out without any major problems. I have no clue if these were acts of vandalism due to the fact that it's a brand new car, and as much as I hope this is the last I have to deal with this, it just makes you realize how cruel people can be to things you've personally worked hard for to attain...

anyway thanks for the optimistic support guys!

Calling the dealership insurance # this week as I purchased a package that covered ding and dent repair damages. So hoping they do a good job making it look flawless once again. Again thanks for the opinions and tips everyone!

Well, the roof they can probably do something about. The hood I don't think they can do anything about, since it's aluminum. That really sucks man.

I have a dent on my hood, and after calling around some good PDR guys feel comfortable dealing with the metal.

I'm making an appointment this week with Performance Industries, in New Rochelle, NY. They don't seem to have issue removing dents in aluminum with clear bra.:w00t:

Now that I look at it again, it almost looks as if one long heavy thing fell on it. Were there any tree branches down around your car?

no there aren't, i've been parking it away from any overhead debris risks. Plus I haven't seen any branches near or on the car since it happened. =/
