Unfortunately for you I think Saturday was what worked best for the majority of people. Plus it gives a bit of wiggle room if there is bad weather projected for Saturday.

HunterGreene 09-16-2013 10:11 AM

Correct, date is still set for October 19th, with a rain check for Sunday if necessary.

Bump for more interest?

Is the plan to keep this a "twins" meet only?

Hanni_0176 09-19-2013 12:11 AM

Nice to meet you all. I'm from Lorain County btw.

Google Maps says that Salt Fork State Park is roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes away... not sure if I'll be able to make this or not.

Panda Grahams 09-19-2013 01:29 AM

Just now caught my eye. This is my fall break weekend and I may be able to swing in on Saturday. Add me to the list as tentative.

Edit: This is also a 3-4 hour drive for me. But it sounds worth it. Fall leaves and the twins, good times.

I may be in ill have to finalize when it gets closer

Is anyone considering driving out the evening before and staying in Cambridge? If some of us are, we might be able to arrange a discount with a hotel.

Not necessarily--DeathMalice is bringing a friend and his Civic. I think the feeling is that we don't want this meet to get oversized. I was thinking no more than 15-20, tops.

This will be a full day trip for some of us, I'm coming from the Cleveland area with a couple others. But this is worth the time and effort :)

It is worth it, even if we miss the peak color. Current forecast has it occurring near or after our trip, so it should still be fairly spectacular.

I am going to officially commit to this. I will be in my MR-S. My son (dothetango1990) will be in his FR-S. Also, my brother lives between Cambridge and Zanesville and he may tag along in his 2013 Camaro ZL1. He has a GoPro and may act as a camera car during the run.

:happyanim: Alright! Hopefully your brother doesn't mind going slow

He will go as fast or as slow as we need him to. He has done all these roads before in both the Camaro and on his Harley. If he can make it then we should get some good footage of the drive. If, for some reason, he cannot make it then I will try to borrow the GoPro and I will act as the camera car.

Everyone should make sure to bring their cameras. There are some good photo ops with at least one covered bridge, rustic areas, open vistas etc. The non-twins can sit out some of the group photos so everyone gets some "pure" pictures to remember the event.
