Kevin, how much does it cost for materials? I would like to explore some decal options.

I'm looking into getting some bulk vinyl so at this time I'm uncertain of costs until I choose a supplier. I also haven't found a proper transfer tape yet, the stuff I have now doesn't stay against the backing which could be problematic if not immediately placed on the car.

Here's another design without any club affiliation, just a geographic area. It would be solid, this is just the cutout template. The top can go vertical and I can make it curve to match the A pillar.

And then there is this variation of the silhouette that @thehapaone created.

I like these, especially the bottom one, better than previous versions so far. I'd rock one in black on my small rear window.

Nice... how much they running

BRZPDX 09-03-2013 10:24 PM

what color are we doing these in bulk? Or do we get to choose any color?

tech4pdx 09-03-2013 11:10 PM

I suggest we choose a basic color scheme like black on white to limit costs, maintain compatibility with all vehicle colors and keep a consistent public look.

Ok guys, here they are on the car. I only have one more idea to try and that is a small version of the vertical design placed directly behind the door glass on the quarter window.

Here they are..

The one that was in the post immediately preceding my comment. :)

As much as I like the ones that are here... I really think we should design it in such a way that it is a perfect fit for the space. I love the side profile sticker, but it looks awkward sitting level in the triangle window. I REALLY want a vertical windshield banner for the passenger side that is custom fitted to the curve of the A-pillar.

@digital_assassin Those look amazing. I would definitely sport them. Got a Price on them or are they still prototype?

The curve isn't symmetrical so it will take some time to get it right. I was hoping by making the 86 circle a little bigger it would kind of fill out the curve. I'll put some more work into it.

The silhouette might not be the best option in such a small format. It has lots of thin lines with sharp points which make it hard to get the waste vinyl off the backing and I wonder about longevity. It might peel up when running towels and stuff over it. If it was larger then no issues. Super cool toolbox sticker that won't see lots of abuse.

I'm thinking the vertical image straight up the quarter window following the door window is the right placement for the side. Shouldn't break up the lines of the car if placed here.

Not ready for production just yet. I need to wash the car and make sure the thin points in the silhouette don't hook towels and start to peel.

The horizontal text version is done. No need to change anything on this simple and clean version. And yes, that's a rear facing car seat and a forward facing car seat in there!
