Hillcountry Run in the FR-S in Texas

Running with 4 other 86's on Lime Creek in the Texas hillcountry. Was a really fun run. Enjoy.

Cool video...

What's the artist/track of the last song??

Cool video man. I have to ask, did you lower your car? It looks like you did. What kit did you lower your car with? How has the performance and feel changed while driving on roads like the one previewed in your video?

I lowered it when I installed my kw v3 coilovers.. I paired these with 17x8 245 michelin pilot super sports. The ride quality is awesome I have to push it super hard to get slippage.

As far as how it changed. Its slightly less comfortable but the handling improved two fold.. At the beginning they were noisy but now they are quiet.

Cool video, but why were you crossing over the center lane lines into the other lane?

forzajuve 08-30-2013 04:13 PM

Ha... What kind of a buzz-kill question is that?

Clipdat 08-30-2013 05:36 PM

What do you mean? There's no reason that I can see of why you would cross over the center line in those situations. Seems unsafe.

HillCountryGuru 09-01-2013 09:11 PM

The only reason I did that in a few situations was to limit the g's when i came into a corner just a bit too quick to assure traction was held. I purposefully only went 1 ft over to make sure I could correct back over if there were any traffic. This may seem unsafe, but I care about my car too much to put in a situation that I didn't have control of.

Was going to say the same exact thing. Big no-no.

But not enough about the other drivers/bikers that could potentially be coming in the other direction?

If you can't stay within the lanes provided for you, you may be driving beyond your limits.

Wow beautiful roads, you're quite lucky to be in that part of the U.S. and nice tunes :party0030:

Haters will hate. I could see oncoming traffic except for maybe one time I slipped over on one of the hairpins. Even then it wasn't until I was into the corner enough to see if another car or bike was coming around. The camera has a much more limited field of vision than I had..
