Forum Suggestion: A "Private" racing section
A private section where users could post their racing videos would be a great addition to the site. Has worked great on sites like Club Lexus and would be awesome here considering the popularity of the platform.

Don't know if that will go over well here. There are plenty of honest track guys here and they don't seem to need anything private. Private street racing section would pretty much mean that admin is condoning what is widely regarded as dangerous and irresponsible behaviour and already against forum policy. |
Shoulda got an Si

That would imply that our cars are fast....

Lol @ the aint street racing stand.
Why has anyone gone FI? Because they sure as shit aren't track cars; 400hp on street tyres, 12kg rims and uprated brake pads. I dont care so much about street drag racing; heck 1/4mile is cheap no brainer. But canyon/hill driving. Love. That said I can understand why forum needs to make a stand on it. If there was a private section, it would have to be super exclusive. 200 post / 50 thank count or something similar. |

Why is it so important for you to have a private street racing section? |

Not sure where you get that im stressing the "Importance" of the section. Im stating the the section would be a good addition to the forum, nothing more nothing less. Just like a NWS section... If you dont want to see it then dont look at it. |
Think of it from a liability point of view. You're involved in an accident while drag racing and your passenger John ends up being a quad with unimaginable medical and care expenses in the future. John's wife sues you because of your negligence and is awarded your policy limits which is $100,000.00. That would probably cover the costs for John's medical and care for about one year. What does his wife do after that? She goes after any one or thing that might have contributed to the accident her husband was involved in. What's that? A car forum the driver belonged to promoted street racing! Wow, sue them because they promoted racing which could be construed as contributing to this accident and certainly there was no negligence on John so likely it's a win situation. The court would probably award an amount of money that would be sufficient to take care of John the rest of his life.

Going by my understanding of your logic, the victims of any crime should sue pretty much all media outlets, the manufacturers of all the products they consume and use, and even the government for their contributions to the accident. Car manufacturers do not get sued for producing vehicles that can surpass the speed limit, and CNN does not get sued if someone decides to copycat a crime... |

There is a reason you couldn't even come out and ask for a street racing section straight up. 'Certain' racing videos are banned? |

If you think im asking for a street racing section then you should read the discussion again so that you can get a better grasp on what is being asked. Im pretty sure that if I were to post a video of an Albanian death race where both time and murderous kills were taken into consideration when deciding a winner, the video would be taken down with considerable haste.
