APR GT Bumper woes
See this:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30627 I wanted to get the word out to my NW buddies since I know that some of you were interested in this bumper. I wouldn't want this disappointment to be repeated. My post from page 2: "Anybody who is thinking about buying this bumper, I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. APR sent me a bumper with a flawed front light housing problem (which my shop tried to fix to no avail), BUT more importantly this bumper does NOT have any side marker light provisions! This is completely opposite of the publicly available photos. APR will not give me my money back. I have ~$1000 (+more in labor) in a junk bumper and rotor backing plates/hose kit, which appears to be unrecoverable. They keep blaming their unwillingness to refund my money on the fact that my shop tried to fix the front light housing problem, ignoring the original problems. Edit: Now they are saying that the bumper on Facebook was not indicative of the "production" bumper. There you have it folks. Somebody decided that there was no need for side marker lights! Obviously not proper for street use!" Happy days.. |
I'd like to invite a group of friends to a friendly meet in the park where we give my bumper the 'Office Space' treatment, while videotaping it to some nice classical audio. We'll call it the "GT Bumper Review". :D

take some pictures for us to see.
this is highly disappointing of APR. you'd expect to get some good quality control with that price point. |

I know someone with a couple of ARs. I'm sure we can have a bit of fun with them if we pay for ammo. :D

Bring it up to JBLM, we'll take care of it.

I have been looking at their rear wing. I hope there are no flaws on that bad boy.
|
The wings are tried and tested. Good stuff there for sure. I'm either going APR GT 250 or the Voltex wing.

APR GT Bumper woes
We all have opinions and I respect the other members on here, but I would never give my money to APR again. They have completely failed in their customer service dealings with me. I don't care what industry you are in, a legitimately unhappy customer is a big deal. The employees at every company should ask themselves how they eat. The obvious answer is they eat because customers are purchasing the products/services of the company they work for. The reason why the aftermarket auto industry feels like they can treat people like shit is because people allow it to happen with their wallets. Better quality is demanded not "pay and pray"! Just because things have been this way for a long time does not mean we need to maintain the status quo.
Edit: I would also like to state that I could have gone to the bank and taken out over $1000, invited a bunch of you to come over and we could have just burned it for fun. The actual result is the same. |
Tech4pdx did you ever think about doing a charge-back on your card for failure to provide product. Nick just did this with his wheels. If you used a visa or mc you have rights to receive a proper product.
