Rear differential rubbing on the exhaust pipe most likely made that sound especially if you have the 3 inch.

So how much have you spent to date to get your car to provide that reliable output increase in torque and hp..
Or do you even want to know :)

I have watched all the video's, and may have missed it, but what is your consensus on the Vortech kit as a daily driver? The car would never be driven on any sort of track.
Thanks,
Steve

We looked at that, we have the 2.5". Appears to be motor movement and suspension load causing overpipe to touch, sway bar (strano).

Well really, you could probably do the Perrin Tune, Vortech kit and oil cooler for 5k. I don't think the exhaust and some of the other things are needed.

All and all we have over 10k in now with time parts and testing.

It's one of the better choices for sure, and if you don't track the car it makes things much easier. You could get a carb pending kit from Vortech directly or Perrin and not worry too much. The only thing as insurance you would have to add if you drive hard is oil cooler.

Depends on your region.

Would love to get the chance to drive this thing on track before I move. It's got a hell of a lot more potential at Autobahn South. All Stock aside from KW Clubsports and 255 Bridgestone RE-11A and upgraded brake pads we were running low 1:39s.

Glad to see the stuff with Chris worked out! Love the vids as always.

I'm pretty curious about that Pentosin fluid looking bad after 12k.

Also I'm glad I'm not the only one that broke a screw in the frame from that stupid tray thing

Liebot 08-31-2013 01:29 AM

This was a great video, a bit dark in terms of attitude and it leaves me wondering if you actually like the car.

Scaldy 08-31-2013 02:35 AM

Good video. Thanks for sharing :)

Nice thanks for sharing, shows stuff other owners wouldn't be willing to talk about.

Loved your videos. Honestly, your "review" of the car made me chuckle, realistically consider the car (rather than just hype), and I still got the damn thing.

Glad to see you reach the end of your saga regarding upgrades. Really did a lot of ground-work for the "practical" driver of these things.

Interested to hear more about how the Vortech kit is easier to tune for than the Innovate kit. Nice job on the video once again. I'll miss your colorful comments at the best moments of the videos.

The bad transmission fluid has me worried as these transmissions seem to clunk around a bit even new...

Dezoris 08-31-2013 11:36 AM

The trans is a worry for sure. If anyone wants to dump their fluid and send it out to Blackstone to see if we all are seeing higher levels of aluminum that would be excellent. We had similar issues for the first 2-3 years with the S2000 transmissions being inconsistent and sensitive to heat as well. This trans is different but similar. In my case never really had problems except in cold.

It could also be the Pentosin is good in cold but not doing a good job in heat.

There will be more videos coming out but will be focused on one thing like the brake video was. Should have the tuning/innovate interviews done soon.
