Planning on Supercharging Next Xmas, should I do anything in the meantime?

So I'm a new FRS owner, just cracked 500 miles and like everyone else looking to start the Mods

I figured I'd throw my entire Xmas bonus this year into my Car Payments so it'll drop substantially per month

Then next Xmas bonus buy a Supercharger kit

My question is are there any minor upgrades I can do in the meantime that wouldnt need to be removed once I get the Supercharger Kit

Can I get headers? Or an intake? Any advice is greatly appreciated

depending on how much power you plan on making, you may need a clutch. won't need it when stock, but with boost you probably will

Not planning on going over 350, just wanna add some HP while I wait on getting the SC Kit

I get challenged too often on the highway lol its like this car attracts challengers of all car calibers

if you break 350 whp, you will definitely need a clutch, but not yet. iirc, the stock clutch is rated for 220-225 lb/ft

What about the brakes?

whataboutbob 08-28-2013 02:30 AM

Motor mounts.

PStaff716 08-28-2013 08:30 AM

Brake pads
Full exhaust
Wheel/tire upgrade
Springs

And then obviously anything cosmetic is fair game! Good luck man

Sell your car and buy an EVO

No thx, sold an 04' Evo I bought used for my FRS

Previous owner didnt take very good care of it, repairs were too annoying

I think only ppl that know about cars challenge Evos otherwise majority just think its a regular Lancer

I remember a dumb bird brain chick I met at a club one time giving her a ride home she was like "why are you driving this Granny car, my mom has a lancer just like this"

The FRS just looks like its a monster to anyone, even my Grandmother recently told me to not get into any accidents in my "rocket"
