If they're like our STI Lip kit emblems... They should be engraved/etched in and painted cherry-blossom pink.

They are silver, a lot like our dash in texture, they're not going to be chrome like the stock OEM Subaru accessory.

It looks embossed. I really want to know if it's one solid unit (I.e. The silverish piece is moulded to the color matched surround). If it's one piece I'm sold.

Looks like I won't rush to purchase it next week then! Thanks for that. Keep us updated.

Khazzy 12-25-2013 05:46 AM

no worry about the wait for me, deployed anyways haha so wont see it for awhile. Ordered already too, cannot wait to install them when I get home.

switchlanez 12-27-2013 02:32 AM

Sweet! Much easier than modifying one from the WRX STI. STI spoiler emblem too! Looks like the same one I got off eBay from Bayson R. Thanks! @switchlanez

I've never found this to be accurate.

I ordered something last month that had a 30-45 day ETA, and it shipped within 5 days of my order. I received it less than a week after that.

The website is just an approximation of timeframe, based on previous delivery experience from the vendor.

mine has yet to ship still, probably not the full 20-40 days but may take some time.

Christmas and New Years; also product availability are the culprits for the ETA I would assume.

DSOmegaX 12-27-2013 05:28 AM

Yeah the ETAs on that website are just a rough ballpark but nowhere near that long. My STi muffler is listed at 90-100 days but took just a month really to get it. If you look at the pictures of the fender trims that Japanparts posted on its facebook page, they are installed on stock cars so the inventory is most likely slowly trickling out and will start to be fulfilled sooner than later.

yeah I am in no hurry as I will not be home for awhile anyways but definite reasons they have not shipped yet.

chanomatik 12-27-2013 01:13 PM

Japan closes down for a bit over New Year's. I ordered stuff last year that took extra long because of the holidays. Yuki messaged me to give me the heads up. Plus they try to consider how long customs might take if they check out your stuff. Generally if the package is small enough then it clears quickly.

krayzie 12-27-2013 03:38 PM

They did ship my order out on Christmas Day (I only bought the STI bear so that I can clip the Air Spencer cartridge onto its belt lol).

All the bears got shipped out before their shutdown. That car is black it's just the way light is reflecting off the surface making it look like a DGM

While I'm already here...

http://www.japanparts.com/db/partsli...EY=484-036-005

For that price I'm not sure if it's the full cluster, if so... It is only meant for RHD... Way overpriced if it's just the overlay.

If it's not just the overlay, I do not see how they're able to sell a full cluster commercially as the odometer data is stored in the cluster itself.

Not in the context of a dealer. STi parts are meant to be sold by a dealer as optional pieces for upgrade, and (frankly) for people like us that are buying them after the sale/service part of the car, it is expensive.

I went through all this previously with Nismo parts for the 240SX from 1997 - 2005. In the end, these rare parts are expensive considering what they cost to make, but if it means STi keeps racing, I'd be more than willing to buy.

Oh damn! That looks like it should work with LHD, too. I don't think the gauge cluster is... angled? Now I'm not sure. If it's straight on then I will make this work. I was just thinking, "I can make everything 'STI' except the cluster. Damn!" haha

I don't think it would include the entire surround. I'm sure it's just the face with the needles and such. The digital displays might be inlaid?

DSOmegaX 01-17-2014 03:58 AM

Here's the front badge on:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...1&d=1389424428

I also have the rear badge but if anyone wants it I'll sell it to them. It actually is made to have the curvature of the trunk in the upper left area wheres its placed on the tS, so if you're looking to put it in the same place, great! I would rather put it where the actual tS badge is located near the license plate, so unfortunately that curvature won't work too well with the flat surface. Will prolly buy the badge off the forester or legacy STi as they are placed on flat trunks (the style matches the front STi badge I have with the black backing...there's so many different styles of this badge =.= the WRX STi doesn't have the black backing with the chrome outline on it

tjohnson104 01-17-2014 06:17 AM

does anybody know if they will sell the actual TS badge?

tjohnson104 01-17-2014 08:17 AM

Yeah i figured, because I tried looking it up on all other cars... oh well... would have been cool to have the option to buy it... guess Ill blow my money on something that I dont really need..

Apparently you haven't followed the thread since I've already posted in there stating that these pieces are different. They're painted black, whereas you have the flat black pieces that need to be painted. Trust me, I've been following and contributing to that thread for a while.

These are STI parts, not RC parts. There's a more quality in these. You get what you pay for.

Sweet! I just ordered mine on Monday, so this works perfectly. Thanks!

I tried emailing Yuki, but apparently he's out this week and the other guys didn't even bother to answer my question.

It would be supremely sad if you got your parts before me...

Doubtful, although Anchorage IS one of the busiest airport hubs in the world, especially for stuff from Japan... I always get my Japanparts orders within a week or so. When I order from the Lower 48 (U.S.) it always takes much, much longer.

Anyways, I doubt I get any special treatment UNLESS they happen to have black on hand and not your color, but I'm sure it has more to do with resupply (or initial supply) from STI directly. I had to wait for my STI Duracon shift knob and STI t-shirt from STI to Japanparts first. Japanparts also shares distribution with others within Japan, so not only are WE hungry for the parts, but there are Japanese BRZers that get it on the action, too.

chanomatik 02-06-2014 09:04 PM

I still would kill to have this:

Mine shipped yesterday!

chanomatik 02-11-2014 01:34 PM

Last week I asked for status to Yuki and got a reply back from the Support Team saying that Yuki was out all week and to forward any requests to them. ... Like, okay, could you not READ the request I sent Yuki? The request that you replied to?! So I waited until yesterday and emailed them BOTH requesting status updates. I still haven't heard anything. So sad. :(

I'm glad they're alive, though, and stuff is starting to ship! That means I should have a response this evening.

Trap63 02-11-2014 01:38 PM

mine are WRB, maybe the first sending as color?

Mine are SWP so doubt it. Ordered mine the day after they came out. Back mid December.
