Sweet! Much easier than modifying one from the WRX STI. STI spoiler emblem too! Looks like the same one I got off eBay from Bayson R. Thanks! @switchlanez

I've never found this to be accurate.

I ordered something last month that had a 30-45 day ETA, and it shipped within 5 days of my order. I received it less than a week after that.

The website is just an approximation of timeframe, based on previous delivery experience from the vendor.

mine has yet to ship still, probably not the full 20-40 days but may take some time.

Christmas and New Years; also product availability are the culprits for the ETA I would assume.

DSOmegaX 12-27-2013 05:28 AM

Yeah the ETAs on that website are just a rough ballpark but nowhere near that long. My STi muffler is listed at 90-100 days but took just a month really to get it. If you look at the pictures of the fender trims that Japanparts posted on its facebook page, they are installed on stock cars so the inventory is most likely slowly trickling out and will start to be fulfilled sooner than later.

yeah I am in no hurry as I will not be home for awhile anyways but definite reasons they have not shipped yet.

Japan closes down for a bit over New Year's. I ordered stuff last year that took extra long because of the holidays. Yuki messaged me to give me the heads up. Plus they try to consider how long customs might take if they check out your stuff. Generally if the package is small enough then it clears quickly.

They did ship my order out on Christmas Day (I only bought the STI bear so that I can clip the Air Spencer cartridge onto its belt lol).

All the bears got shipped out before their shutdown. That car is black it's just the way light is reflecting off the surface making it look like a DGM

While I'm already here...

http://www.japanparts.com/db/partsli...EY=484-036-005

For that price I'm not sure if it's the full cluster, if so... It is only meant for RHD... Way overpriced if it's just the overlay.

If it's not just the overlay, I do not see how they're able to sell a full cluster commercially as the odometer data is stored in the cluster itself.

Not in the context of a dealer. STi parts are meant to be sold by a dealer as optional pieces for upgrade, and (frankly) for people like us that are buying them after the sale/service part of the car, it is expensive.

I went through all this previously with Nismo parts for the 240SX from 1997 - 2005. In the end, these rare parts are expensive considering what they cost to make, but if it means STi keeps racing, I'd be more than willing to buy.

Oh damn! That looks like it should work with LHD, too. I don't think the gauge cluster is... angled? Now I'm not sure. If it's straight on then I will make this work. I was just thinking, "I can make everything 'STI' except the cluster. Damn!" haha

I don't think it would include the entire surround. I'm sure it's just the face with the needles and such. The digital displays might be inlaid?
