As if we didn't have enough to look forward to at next week's Geneva Motor Show, the exotic-obsessive folks over at GTSpirit have secured the first images of Koenigsegg's latest masterpiece ahead of its debut, and the Agera looks every bit as potent as its predecessors.

It's obvious that Koenigsegg didn't want to mess with a winning formula, so the Agera is more of an evolution of the CCXs that came before it, with a similar greenhouse and the same dimensions (169-inches long, 78.6-inches wide and 44.1-inches tall) as the outgoing supercar. The new front and rear fascias ditch some of the aging angularity of the previous iterations, and the new LED headlamps and hood are decidedly more racy.

Nestled within the carbon fiber and aluminum honeycomb chassis lies the same 4.7-liter V8 as the CCX, but output has increased to 910 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque, allowing the 2,832-pound Agera to hit 62 mph in 3.1 seconds and top out at over 242 mph.

And as Koenigsegg has learned over the last 10 years, it's all about the little things. In addition to the bespoke sequential gearbox and carbon ceramic brakes, the exhaust is made entirely of Inconel, the fuel tanks are mounted on either side to optimize weight and balance, and the carbon fiber and kevlar body work, combined with the flat underbody tray, allow the Agera to produce 661 pounds of downforce at 155 mph. Oh, and there's custom luggage too.

According to GTSpirit, Koenigsegg only plans to produce 16-20 Ageras each year and orders will begin next week with deliveries starting later in 2010. We'll have more from the show floor in a few days, but in the meantime, check out the images below and hit up GTSpirit for more details.

Just when we thought the Geneve Motor Show couldn't get any more insane with all of these pre-releases, the team at GTSpirit have pounced on the interwebz with these first photos of Koenigsegg's newest creation, the Agera.

Still Swedish, still hypercar, the Agera is supposedly an all new model. However, when compared to the outgoing CCX, the two are almost identical aside from the styling details. A closer looks at the dimensions show the length, height and width are exactly the same as the CCX.

Also kept the same is the powerplant, a 4.7-liter V8 producing 910 PS (669 kW / 898 hp) at 6850 rpm and 1100 Nm (811 lb-ft) at 5100rpm. With a dry weight of 1290kg (2832 lbs), sprint to 100 km/h transpires in 3.1 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 390+ km/h (245+ mph).

Same as the CCX again, the top is removable and stores away under the bonnet. The body structure is still pre-impregnated carbon fibre/kevlar with a flat floor tray containing Venturi tunnels towards the rear. The chassis also remains aluminum honeycomb reinforced carbon fiber with an adjustable suspension.

One thing different with the body is the all-new carbon fibre center console and tunnel assembly. A new lighting system which uses "invisible nanotubes" is used for buttom illumination.

No price has been revealed yet. According to GTSpirit Koenigsegg plans to build 16 to 20 units per year. Order books open at the Geenva Motor Show in four days. At that time hopefully we'll have some clarity whether the Agera is a heavily upgraded CCX or an all new model.

Koenigsegg has unveiled the Agera concept at the Geneva Motor Show.

Built to celebrate the company's 15th anniversary, the Agera aims to "take the Koenigsegg experience to the next level, both on the road and the track."

Power comes from a twin-turbo 4.7-liter V8 with 910 PS (669 kW / 898 hp) and 1100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque. It allows the 1290kg (2832 lbs) Agera to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, before topping out at 390+ km/h (245+ mph).

Other performance features include specially developed Michelin tires, an adjustable anti-lock braking system (with 392x36 and 380x34 ventilated and drilled ceramic discs), and an advanced traction control system.
According to Koenigsegg, "The pre-production show car will be put through its phases for the coming six month prior to the production car launch of the Agera." When launched, the Agera will be built alongside the CCX and CCXR.

Devilish Black Koenigsegg Agera X Hits The Spa Circuit

Koenigsegg, alongside with Pagani, is one of only just a small handful of supercar start-up manufacturers to have actually survived and fulfilled its many promises. Many have tried to tap into this market and very few have succeeded quite like Koenigsegg.

Currently, the only model being produced by the Swedish firm is the Agera RS which is an amalgamation of the Agera R and the One:1 hypercar. Before the RS was introduced, one of Koenigsegg's finest creations was certainly the one-off Agera X.

Based around the Agera S, it is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine supplemented with two turbochargers and offering a McLaren P1-beating 910 hp.

While one could forgive the owner of the special Agera X for keeping it locked away, it is actually driven quite frequently and recently hit the famed Spa Francorchamps Formula 1 circuit during a private track day.

As you'd imagine, it sounds and looks absolutely spectacular while on the move!

Koenigsegg Agera RS caught on camera in Geneva, will have 1,160 HP [video]

Is 40 kg lighter than the Agera R

Through thus video you can take a first look at the Koenigsegg Agera RS that is making its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Swedish supercar features a full carbon fiber body sharing some of the aerodynamic details with the One:1 megacar. The front bumper is slightly redesigned, while on the sides there’s a new small fin at the bottom of the side sills. At the back the manufacturer has installed a new rear wing with new end plates.

Power comes from a modified 5.0-liter biturbo unit with 1,160 HP (853 kW) at 7,800 rpm and a peak torque of 1,280 Nm (945 lb-ft) at 4,100 rpm. The machine weights 1,395 kg (3,075 lbs), which is 40 kg (88 lbs) less than the Agera R and 35 kg (77 lbs) more than the One:1. The Agera RS will reportedly generate a maximum downforce of 485 kg at 200 km/h – 185 kg more than the Agera R.

Koenigsegg's Agera Final Is The Swansong Of The Series

Quote:

Koenigsegg's last ever Agera is called the Final of which only three examples will be produced, with their respective buyers having "unprecedented input" into the specifications of their vehicle.

Unsurprisingly, all three cars have already been spoken for. The first of the series is the 'One of 1' displayed in Geneva. According Koenigsegg, the customer "wanted an Agera that would be as close to a One:1 as possible in performance terms, while retaining the roof window, stowable roof and full luggage space."

Some of the features found on the 'One of 1' include a front splitter, triple winglets on the front bumper, custom-designed venture at the rear with adjustable winglets, a shield mesh at the rear, top-mounted rear wing with second blade, roof-mounted air intake and special badging, along with polished aluminum interior switchgear.

Other goodies include the unique Aircore hollow carbon fiber wheels, which weigh less than 7 kg (15 lbs) each, saving over 20 kg (44 lbs) compared to regular alloys, and with a clear carbon finish or partial clear carbon, which shows the carbon fiber body panels, available at no extra cost.

Equipped with the twin-turbo V8 1MW engine, the Koenigsegg Agera Final comes even closer to the One:1 in terms of performance and promises its customer a massive 1,360 HP and 1,371 Nm (1,011lb-ft) of torque.

Koenigsegg said that the other Agera Final models will be built for delivery towards the end of 2017.
