Where to get a tune in the SF Bay Area?

There will be more than one answer, but where should I start for finding a tuner? Someone who's done FR-Ss before, who can flash back to stock if needed, etc. I have intake and exhaust so I'd like to see if I can make it a bit peppier with a tune. From what I've heard, it makes a difference. Oh and see you all at the next BBQ!

I think @86_ZN6 can help you in regards to getting your car tuned or have more info in regards to it.

Mike are you thinking of getting a base flash? Or custom dyno tune?

If base tune flash only, i can do that for you anywhere. Even at the meet :)

If custom dyno tune, i have to schedule you with pete. He is a ecutek master tuner.

Well I guess that's part of the question also... How much more would you see with a custom tune vs stage1 or 2 base flash? My first reaction is dynoing it would be too much with my modest upgrades. I looked at the piggyback options also, but I like to keep my car looking clean (call it stock+).

But then again, a dyno really shows real hp gains, unlike a butt dyno :)

I'll pm you with more details

Although I haven't heard of anyone going or seeing any dyno results, Ed at EQ Tuning supposedly started tuning for the twins. He had posted something on i-Club. Ed is more known in the WRX and STI community.

Eq tuning in Fairfield? It's a bit on the far side.. How about south San Francisco to San Jose area or East Bay? Anyone have a base tune? Does it feel peppier?

I PMed a while ago but didn't hear anything so I'm assuming your pretty busy. Maybe a base tune with a logger to tweak any final values?

Hey guys, just saw this announcement --- if you are one of those who think a SoCal based tuner with lots of experience is the way to go, Delicious Tuning will be up at Mann Engineering in San Jose for a upcoming weekend (sept 27-28).

I don't know how much they charge-- Contact Mann Eng to schedule/more info.

I am running William's (Delicious Tuning) Ecutek tune. He is a good guy and easy to work with.
