Our exhaust is pretty quiet for the most part inside cabin but sound is very subjective..

I've had the dt-s installed by itself, with a catted front pipe, with a uel header, and now with the header and catback alone.

This exhaust does not drone.. Loud maybe yes with the header/front pipe combo, but even then there was no drone.

The greddy evo3 I had droned HORRIBLY with just the catback. Maybe you mean it's just loud, or maybe not having that cat in the front pipe really makes that much of a difference. But when I had the header on there I was down one cat and there was no drone.

My other vehicle is a 400whp GTO, that, for a time I ran straight dumps on, right off the header.

I know the difference between loud and drone :)

When accelerating under heavy load the car drones; pressing the accelerator down in 6th gear in the dreaded torque dip between 2000-2500rpm. It just does. At least -- again, I stress -- with a test pipe. I've never known an aftermarket exhaust that didn't to some extent and, as I said, this is definitely one of the best I've experienced, and that's with a catless pipe even. I don't doubt that with just the catback, it's not an issue at all. And, besides, it's a good excuse to downshift as the increase in revs drops the drone to almost nil.

I will say that after some break-in time this has improved considerably. And it's not me 'getting used to it' either; as I only drive the FRS once or twice a week. It has genuinely improved by a fair margin. I will still do something to cut down the sound in the cabin, but that was always the plan anyways due to road noise and should take care of the last of the remnants.

To reiterate my original post -- the sound of this exhaust setup is absolutely epic. Even if it did drone badly I would put up with it because it just sounds that good. The fact that it really is minor is just that much of a bonus. I'm currently planning a 4000-mile road trip; if the drone was bad, I'd never consider it. But, to put it in perspective, I won't do it until I cut down the road noise -- so, to me, the road noise is worse than the drone I'm experiencing. So if you're not bothered by the road noise present in a stock vehicle, you surely won't be bothered by the drone; and even less so after it breaks in a bit.

DONT MIND THE CAPS.....MY KEY IS STUCK AND I NEED TO FIX IT...

HAVE YOU LOOSENED UP THE MID PIPE-AXLE BACK SECTIONS TO TRY ALIGNING IT? NOT TRYING TO SOUND LIKE A ****, BUT THAT'S HOW I (AND OTHERS) FIXED MINE AFTER MY FIRST ATTEMPT LEFT IT ABOUT HALF AN INCH LOWER THAN THE RIGHT. JUST REQUIRES SOME FINE TUNING

You can hold down your shift key to get lower case letters with a stuck caps lock key.

Fixed it with a restart... was just some glitch. Anyway, holding down the key and typing with one hand would take too long.:bonk:

I'll give it a shot! Hopefully that'll fix the problem

On my DT-S, the flange at the S-pipe and mid pipe touch the car and makes the worst clunking noise at certain RPMs :( Need to get under there and attempt to readjust.
