2013 for $1200 off msrp

First post but I've been on the site a while. Learned a lot about the car from everyone on here.

I've been waiting for the 2014 models to come out but my local dealer has an asphalt 6MT for 1200 off msrp. Apparently it's been on the lot for 100 days so they've discounted it. It has 50 miles on it so obviously few test drives. There's no way to know for sure if the cars been beat on but wanted to see if it's a good idea to jump on the deal especially since there are basically no changes. I figured since I'm relatively new to driving a manual there can't be much more wear than I'd be putting on it while learning.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, that's a decent discount and I don't think much damage could have been done in 50 miles compared to me stalling mine probably 30 times since I got it.

As long as you don't ride clutch or grind the gears. You should be okay. Please do not use engine to break ==" Use your break!

If you are military or a recent grad try to stack that discount ontop. Then that'd be a REALLY sweet deal.

$1200 isnt a good deal tbh... people are getting that w/o being a test drive car... and a test drive car that is MT isnt good news... u dont know how many people test drive them and mess up the clutch...

true. I would still get it if i am OP.
something wrong with clutch later, warranty will cover it
of course, it will be different story on warranty part if OP burns out the clutch due to his first manual

Clutch won't be damaged in 50 miles.... get it.

This isnt good advice, you dont want to be out of gear when slowing down and there is nothing wrong with engine braking

Well i couldn't resist and bought it on Friday. I still have insurance on my old car (2000 Eclipse GT) which is an automatic so i have a daily driver until I'm comfortable. The trade in was a joke so im going to keep it for a few weeks then sell it. Getting used to the MT though.

Thanks everyone!
