With the variety of brake pads available in the market, LPI and I discussed what most other local users/racers are buying. Track: Raybestos ST43 Race pads only. Extremely high bite, and high friction. Used by NASCAR, and a lot of racing teams no matter who they are sponsored by. Raybestos race pad compounds including ST-41, 42, 45, 47 and ST-43. LPI Racing uses Raybestos ST41 front brake pads and Raybestos ST45 rear brake pads on our ITE RX7. Our Club race cars currently run the ST-43 compound.

Track: Hawk DTC60 - High Torque. Excellent Torque Control. Similar to HT10's, but easier to bed. Good pad for the rear with DTC70 up front.

Street: Hawk HP Plus - Good for autocross and light track duty. Hawk Performance's HP Plus brake pad compound is ideal for Autocross and Track Day drivers looking for a high performance race compound that can take the heat of the track and get you home safely without having to change the pads.
