Have you put any carbon fiber in or on your vehicle?

If so, then which parts?

how much cost?

which brand did you choose? was it hand-crafted well made and did it actually help you shed weight?

I put my apartment complex parking sticker on a small piece of carbon fibre, and have it sitting on the rear package tray, because I'm not sticking it to my tinted windows.

...probably not what you were thinking?

I was going to till everyone did now I'm thinking of new ideas

gt8613 08-22-2013 01:25 AM

Why? & what does everyone else have to do with it?

Not on the BRZ, but I put carbon fiber on my trim in the Silverado (I kick myself for not getting pics of it) I traded in. I probably won't do it again though, but I don't know, time will tell.

Though how I did it on the Silverado was just remove the trim, by the carbon fiber wraps and nothing a knife and hair dryer couldn't do.

Gt- because I think to be different. There's so many options out there why settle on what everyone is doing? Just me, put what I plan on doing is unique

There is no real weight to easily be saved on this car with CF. The trunk is maybe 3lbs less in CF and the hood at times weighs more than factory. Your only chance is to use dry carbon and at the cost the weight saved would not really be worth it. We are starting with a pretty light car already.

You would be better off going with a Lightweight battery and saving like 19lbs for under $250.

All the CF on my car is for looks.

Downforce Aero Carbon Fiber Front Lip - MSRP $300
Downforce Aero Carbon Fiber Side Skirts - MSRP $475
APR Carbon Fiber Rear Spats - MSRP $320
Custom Carbon Fiber OEM Style Rear Diffuser - MSRP $300
Carbon Fiber Dash Panels, Door Handles, AC Rings - MSRP $500
Carbon Fiber Engine Cover - MSRP $100
Carbon Fiber Pulley Covers - MSRP $100

Regardless the disagreement and/or hate, IMO carbon fiber looks pretty cool on many parts even if its just a wrap.

Nice pics guise

Yeah you would be suprised how many local FRS/BRZ guys either love or hate the hood. Hahaha honestly it changed the look of the car 100% in my opinion. And since its my car as much as their opinion is heard I am still the one driving it. Plus on a black car it all meshs well anyways.
