BRZ with LS2 V8 swapped in video

So, I searched several different combination of words and came up with nothing for this video on here. Someone swapped an LS2 into a BRZ.

That would drive me crazy not having the use of my tach...but i guess with that HP and sound...that probably isnt a huge concern to this guy

Old news lol but still, interesting.

Part of me feels like its cheating to just take out the FA20 and replace it instead of modding the factory motor, lol. But I know I'd do it in a heartbeat.

That was at WBM this year. Thing sounded ridiculous... lol

Cheating? I think it's a waste when you can turbo the FA20 and run e85 and make the same hp. From the comments it sounds like he spent way more money than a turbo setup + e85 that guys are doing now.

Its not going to match the sound and power delivery of a 500hp v8 though ;)

Definitely expensive, though. Not sure its worth the price when you can almost get a used vette for the money of the kit + lsx engine lol.

But then you'd be a Vette owner. So you age about 40 years.

Yea no, definitely not worth the price. It's not even an original idea either. LS swaps are done all over the place.

Eh, I'd go with a worked turbo boxer over a V8 just about any day. My STI's exhaust is pure bass. Part of why I bought it was because the guy backed it up to the dealership for the test drive and the entire showroom was acting like a bass chamber.

Power delivery all depends on what you're going for. Massive torque at low RPM isn't ideal for inclement weather at all. I'd also have to wonder what the fuel economy difference would be between that V8 swap and the equivalent whp turbo boxer from Crawford. I know one of their engine kits for the older STIs somehow managed to get up around 400-450whp and over 35mpg...

Someone also has the LS out of a GTO in one.

I think it's pretty awesome, but I'd still rather send it to Crawford for that kinda money

Funny. But I am 44 and drive a Lingenfelter supercharged C5! Thinking of buying a FR-S!
