KEG LYPH MAFYA Flip Key - WORKED

Hey 86'er , I first start to a big thanks on KEG LYPH MAFYA, here is their facebook page.

https://www.facebook.com/KEGLYPHMAFYABYTCHES

They had made flip keys for numbers of FRS/BRZ owner inside/outside of the forum. So I decide to try it as well. I ship my keys to them and pick CF version for the key fob. This should take less then a week to get the keys back, but the shipment from oversea is delay so I waited for 2 weeks. But trust me, these people are great, Philip and Steve are very responsible for what they doing.

I ship both of my FRS keys to them from OR (they located in MA), and once they told me the shipment might be delay, they promise me work on my keys first prior once the shipment receive and ship with overnight shipping.

After waited for 2 weeks, finally got my keys this morning. Here are some pictures of them. The mail come in very secure packaging, A big envlope with small envelop inside, then both keys are wrap very nicely inside the small envelop. They also send me back both the Original keys and with a screw driver (FREE) in the packaging.

Every buttons on the remote (Flip Key) works 100% perfect. I do have little hard time at first to try to get both keys to start up on my car, but after put on little WD-40 on the keys. Problem resolved. I guess the keys are too NEW, my car won't take it. Glad it just fix as easy as it could be.

Not to dig on their work or anything, but isn't that just two $15 ebay flip keyfobs with the fake leather pulled off and then a cf vinyl applied to it?

There's a thread somewhere for a pretty simple DIY on the forums. I have the same keyfob, but with the fake leather.

Also while they did send you back the original keys it looks like at least one was destroyed to get the immobilizer chip out (it's glued in, takes a lot of effort to not break something while removing it).

That said, they do look nice with the cf vinyl. Solid choice.

isnt there a chip on the metal key itself?

isnt that the reason why it was hard to do the push buttom start, cuz it needed the key?

The chip is in the plastic part of the keys plastic shell; not in the metal part of the key

I can understand how you would have to use a little WD-40 for the new key fitting problem; Good stuff! A little lube never hurt (thats what she said)
