Release date of 2014 Subaru BRZ
Hey folks! I just have a quick question. What is the approximate date that the 2014 Subaru BRZ will be released? I know it'll be next year (duh), but does anyone have an approximate season? I'll be waiting for it and hopefully it doesn't release in the fall of 2014. Thanks for the input!

It's already in production I believe, or will be soon.
Clint from Heuberger Subaru was going to deliver mine by late October, early November. I decided to not wait and get a 2013 instead. But the 2014 will definitely hit dealerships in November. If you want one from the first batch that arrive, I'd hurry up and pre-order. |

I just want to know the price already...

I don't know... Jim Adams also at Heuberger told me 2014's won't be delivered until Jan/Feb? Unfortunately no specs are officially out at this time. So if you can order it will be in the blind.

If it goes into the actual year, I consider that a half model year(and so do many car companies). I mean that if the '14's come out anytime IN 2014 they should be considered a 2014.5 * *edited to add: that doesn't count your car simply being built in 2014, I mean the first ones being delivered start the model year designation. Mine is a Jan. 2013 build but is still just a 2013 because my year came out in May 2012(early, not late). Unless you want to add Japan in which case everyone else with a 2013 really has a late 2012.5 :) |

Hmm, that doesn't sound right. they are the biggest Subaru dealership, if someone will be getting '14 BRZs early it's them. Even the Subaru Dealership here in Austin told me the will take my '14 pre-order in August and deliver it sometime in November. (that was before I got impatient and decided to just get a '13). So no, they are definitely delivering them in November. Now, about the price, who knows. |

Hey guys, in regards to the pricing of the Limited BRZ '14 model, the price wouldn't be that much different from what it is now (around $27k). The price for the '14 model will probably be around 100-300 dollars more, that's if Subaru decides to revise the current model. Also, my local Subaru dealership told me that there aren't really going to be that much "add-ons" to the '14 model, except for perhaps some mechanical fixes (Engine) and small interior revisions.
Considering the fact that I'll be getting an Auto, the price for me will be around $29k barebone. Adding taxes and what not, will probably equate to $31k. Hopefully that gives an insight to the pricing for the '14 model. |
2014 is worth it if you can wait

We are being told we'll see the Crosstrek Hybrid before the 2014 BRZ's arrive...and the Crosstrek isn't due until October/November. I'd guess we won't see a 2014 BRZ til December at the earliest and wouldn't be surprised if it was Jan/Feb. |

If you are the kind of person that likes throwing money away then you should buy local. I would be willing to bet that they Heuberger could beat any price you get offered even with shipping. BTW, I purchased my GT-R online from a Nissan dealership in Maryland. I had a great experience with them as well… Regardless of your choice best wishes! -Nate |
