Is $1500 off MSRP on a 2013 reasonable?

My first post.

So close to the 2014's, but I can get $1500 off the full retail on a 2013. Is that a reasonable discount this late in the model year?

BTW, my wife of 30 years likes the BRZ/FR-S.

FR-S or BRZ? If BRZ, Premium or Limited? Where are you located?

If this is an FR-S, it seems like a good deal. If it is a BRZ, people have done better, but location makes a difference.

I'd say go for it. No major changes for 2014. I got $1000 off msrp in May. it would have been nice to get an extra $500 off! You can use the $1500 towards upgrades like trd exhaust, intake, spoiler, or more money in your pocket vs 2014. Plus warranty will be the same as a 2014.

i've only owned mine since Friday Aug 16th
i just tried myself after a week of haggling, best i got was $550 off of MSRP, i did however manage to get a deal for about $800 off but i would have had to wait 3+ weeks for a delivery and put a deposit down.. i took the other deal instead, and even after talking to the dealership i bought from.. i gave them the quote for the $800 off, they told me to buy from the other dealership instead because they won't do it due to the low profit margins

it all boils down to the dealership you buy from i think.. i live in Vancouver BC and out here the city population is over 2 million, and there is a stupid amount of money in this city (hence why last time i checked it was more expensive to live here than New York)

you may have to wait until the 2014's come out before you can get that kind of a price off or buy from a dealership in a rural area that can't get rid of the FR-S, but then you can't be picky about colour choices either

I'm in upstate NY. $1500 off on a Base BRZ and the same on a Base FR-S with TRD Exhaust and Spoiler.

I just bought a whiteout FR-S Friday for $1,000 off MSRP and came with all season tires, touchscreen and a spoiler, so $1,500 is a very good deal.

Those are both good deals IMHO. I would say look at both cars closely in person and decide which you want. If you wait a few more weeks it will be end of month and the dealer may move even more on the price.

That's a sweet deal. I still can't get anything below MSRP. Hopefully that changes soon.

Dealership was only willing to move $500 off price on mine, but they gave me what i wouldve gotten in private sale on my trade. Plus the car had the new display audio in the dash but no extra charge on the sticker for it.

Net price paid is the important part.

Get a BRZ from Clint Earhart instead dude. The guy will get you a premium and if he still has left maybe even a Limited for the same price of a FRS.

Heuberger Subaru. Look for Clint.

That is of course if don't mind waiting for the shipping or picking up your car from CO.

Even with shipping he still delivers lower than FRSs.

I was considering the FRS for a while, because it was cheaper and I was mod the crap out of the car anyways. But then I found this guy through these forums and it was no contest regarding to the price.

Xenon HID lights with mean looking LEDs, leather seats, keyless entry, push-to-start, dual zone auto climate control, Navigation, nicer looking interior finish, fog lights, spoiler and a Subaru badge are well worth it.

I utilized TrueCar.com on an FR-S and received nearly $1500 off MSRP in San Diego.
