That's an incredibly ignorant thing to say. Side curtain and seatbelt won't do shit for you in a head on accident. The seatbelt won't keep your head from slamming into your steering wheel.

Anyone who did this have to put their Scion emblem back on? Is it a pretty straight forward process?

Would this fit the BRZ steering wheel? I know the badges for Subaru tend to be wider and shorter so I'm not sure if it's all the same size when it comes to the airbag. Anyone with past knowledge on this?

I just ordered the part number specified by the OP from Elys Tires on eBay.I'm not certain how it is intended to fit (OP's and subsequent pics do not work any more) but the emblem I received is not the same size as the scion emblem, is larger and does not fit in the depression. Be warned!

Back from the dead...

Thinking about going a similar route, but instead of putting an actual emblem, maybe embossing some faux leather/vinyl with the 86 logo...and just gluing that in, so there is only the vinyl, not any "hard plastic" to hopefully avoid airbag complications.

Anyone ever try this?

Have not tried but this is a very reasonable idea!


So much better than many that want to stick shit onto their airbag.
