Vortech intake resonator removal Problem
Hey guys,
I read it somewhere that removing intake resonator would actually drop the whp at times since most resonator function as reducing intake noise and create helmholtz resonator. It was a B18C engine that he learned the drop in power from However, it was said that if you replace it with a CAI etc you are fine. I guess CAI would replace where the intake resonator used to be at? Helmholtz resonance - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia :iono: Thank you guys! |
Being that the air is being compressed by a big blower before being fed into the throttle body, I am not sure that I would be too worried about resonance at this point.

You could just cut the resonators off of the OEM snorkel in the bumper. That's what I did on my setup. :)

I forgot to reinstall the snorkel, and I honestly don't plan on it. My bumper only has a few more times of on/off before it never fits correctly again.

I dont even have the snorkel. im more worried about heat. I wish vortech would come up with a CAI like perrins though.
