Anyone have warranty disputes with Subaru dealers on Long Island.

Hey all. I am new to the forum but purchasing a BRZ with Grand Prix Subaru in Hicksville (long island). Reading the forums I have heard many comments about Subaru being difficult with warranty repairs. Has anyone experienced these disputes with GP Subaru or will I be in good hands?

Thanks

question is "are you going to mod your car?"
if answer is no, then don't have to worry about it.

catback and suspension work is all I anticipate for the first couple years. I expect nothing from a dealer once you choose to add FI or anything that requires tuning.

When looking to buy a BRZ, I almost purchased a black limited from them until they told me it was 5k over sticker price..... Went else where to purchase my BRZ. I use Hasset Subaru in Wantagh for all my oil changes so far. Seem like good people. They are big about their customer service and I think they may be ranked number 1 but not sure. They send out surveys about satisfaction all the time and have called me to ask me how my service was for my BRZ. But that was around when it was new a year ago and they told me they have only ever seen 2 of them lol.

I'm 5 mins away from GP Subaru and I try to avoid going there whenever possible. I've had bad experiences with them on the sales side, parts and repairs. If you want a mod friendly dealer, metric Subaru in Huntington is your best bet. The owner owns a tuning shop too.

I haven't had a problem at grand prix. i haven't had any engine issues or anything yet but last time i was there they were like "nice exhaust". As long as your problem isn't potentially related to something you modified then you're good. I actually got an awesome price on my car from them. they gave me discounts on accessories and whatnot and they gave me a spot on trade in value. The girl they have picking up the phones there is a damn retard but once you're there and talking to the guys in service it's fine
