Submitted For Your Consideration - A Build In Four Stages
This is my projected build of a yet-to-be-purchased Subaru BRZ Limited (Sterling Silver Metallic - Manual)
I do realize that the Nameless CAI & AOS have not been formally announced as of yet, but they have mentioned plans to make them in the past. And with their increased interest in the Innovate SC, I can only expect that they will actually do so, making these items to work with said SC (they are an Innovate vendor now). So, on to the envisioned build list! Subaru BRZ Limited Build - Four Stages STAGE ONE Cooling Robispec Big Radiator/L2L oil cooler Fuel System Accelerated Performance multi-pump w/return line setup STAGE TWO Audio OEM Audio Plus System 400+ Perrin Shorty 2" antenna Brakes DBA 5000-series T3/Spec 2-piece front brake rotors Spiegler stainless steel front & rear brake lines, black Hawk HP Ceramic front & rear brake pads Motul RBF 600 brake fluid GrimmSpeed master brake cylinder brace Drivetrain Chase Bays stainless steel clutch line Shifter Anarchy Motive Mammoth XS shift knob, white BPS short throw shifter, black w/red reverse lockout Perrin transmission mount/shifter bushing combo Whiteline gearbox positive shift kit STAGE THREE Bushings Whiteline crossmember kit Whiteline differential cradle mount kit Whiteline front differential mount kit Whiteline positive traction kit Whiteline support outrigger insert bushing Whiteline front control arm inner kit Whiteline rear trailing arm lower front kit Whiteline steering rack & pinion mount Whiteline upper rear control arm bushing kit Suspension Stance Super Sport coil overs Stance rear LCAs Robispec front LCAs Wheels/Tires Enkei RPF1 17x9 +35 wheels, black Nitto NT05 255/40ZR17 tires Muteki open end lug nuts, black STAGE FOUR Engine Rexspeed carbon fiber hood dampers Innovate Stage 2 supercharger kit Nameless SC sensor plate Nameless CAI (cold air intake) Nameless AOS (air-oil separator) Exhaust Nameless 4-2-1 EL stepped long tube catless header, ceramic coated Nameless 3" down/over pipe w/hi-flow cat Nameless 3" mid pipe w/Helmholtz resonator Nameless axle-back w/dual 5x8 offset mufflers & 4" tips, black powder coat Let me know what you think! |
I had a Perrin 2". Ended up selling for a VG Shark Fin. Looks MUCH better. It's a bit of a wait to get one, so a Perrin might be good for the mean time, but I'm telling you...that VG Shark Fin is gonna complete the look!

I think you have a solid plan.. I like how your addressing the "shortcomings" of the car and not just seeing how fast you can make it go first and foremost... I am big on having a good all around car more so then a car that's great in any one area.. All to often I/we see the lets throw the F/I on a otherwise stock car.. Then you get the all go and no stop, and the all performance mods but nothing to assist said mods.. Like we have a guy here in Vegas that's having issues and can't drive his full blown kitted car more then 30 mins with out it over heating in the 110* heat.. He is now looking at cooling options but money is limited, and I personally think he is taking short cuts.. I think robi cooling kit is way way over kill... But in this case I think it's a great thing.. In some things having a little bit of "too much" is better then just enough
Edit: Also if you plan on going FI you might want to think about a clutch to sometime.. The stock one doesn't seem to be holding up.. I know it's "good" to a certain point, but it seems to be wearing out much much quicker then expected under boost, both of the FI set ups here in Vegas, have started with the slipping clutches And my last edit: May I ask why such a quality build/plan, and such a "bottom" of the line coilover?? |

My initial build list was a bit more than the current one, and when I added the parts costs up, it was a bit, well, expensive. Here is my original build list: Subaru BRZ Limited Build Audio OEM Audio Plus System 400+ Perrin 2" Shorty antenna Braces Beatrush rear differential mount support Beatrush front bumper support brace Beatrush front support under brace Beatrush rear frame bar Beatrush rear member support bar Beatrush rear performance bars GTSPEC fender braces Brakes DBA 5000-series T3/Spec 2-piece front brake rotors Spiegler stainless steel front & rear brake lines, black Hawk HP Ceramic front & rear brake pads Motul RBF 600 brake fluid GrimmSpeed master brake cylinder brace Bushings Whiteline crossmember kit Whiteline differential cradle mount kit Whiteline front differential mount kit Whiteline positive traction kit Whiteline support outrigger insert bushing Whiteline front control arm inner kit Whiteline rear trailing arm lower front kit Whiteline steering rack & pinion mount Whiteline upper rear control arm bushing kit Cooling Robispec Big Radiator/L2L oil cooler Cusco transmission/differential cooler kit Drivetrain Chase Bays stainless steel clutch line SPEC Stage 3+ clutch kit Nameless lightweight flywheel Cusco differential cover, silver Driveshaft Shop 600HP axles Engine Rexspeed carbon fiber hood dampers Innovate Stage 2 supercharger kit Nameless SC sensor plate Nameless CAI (cold air intake) Nameless AOS (air-oil separator) GrimmSpeed '86' oil cap Exhaust Nameless 4-2-1 EL stepped long tube header, ceramic coated Nameless 3" down/over pipe w/hi-flow cat Nameless 3" mid pipe w/Helmholtz resonator Nameless axle-back w/dual 5x8 offset mufflers & 4" tips, black powder coat Fuel System Accelerated Performance multi-pump w/return line fuel system setup Shifter Anarchy Motive Mammoth XS shift knob, white BPS short throw shifter, black w/red reverse lockout Perrin transmission mount/shifter bushing combo Whiteline gearbox positive shift kit Suspension Ohlins DFV Road & Track coil overs Racer X rear lower control arms w/rod ends & dust boots, black Racer X rear upper control arms w/spherical bearings & dust boots, black Racer X front lower control arms w/rod ends, dust boots & RCA ball joints, black Racer X rear trailing arms w/rod ends & dust boots, black Racer X rear toe links w/dust boots, black Racer X rear sway bar end links, black Whiteline 18mm rear sway adjustable kit Whiteline 22mm front sway adjustable kit Robispec rear top hats Wheels/Tires Enkei RPF1 17x9 +35 wheels, black Nitto NT05 255/40ZR17 tires Muteki open end lug nuts, black As you can see, the original suspension setup, while VERY nice, would be about 5 grand MORE than the 'compromises' setup. But I would really rather go the Ohlins/Racer X route in the long run. Towards the Stance coil overs, I have read both positive & negative things here about them; but I have not completed my research on them yet. Now I can place another vote towards the negative tally. I see a build like this as delivering a final product that is a GREAT daily driver, and when needed, an absolute beast of a 'drive it to the track' track day vehicle! If I REALLY got serious about tracking it, I would even be tempted to have a roll cage welded in & get some racing seats & harnesses. If not a full cage, then at LEAST a harness bar. Obviously, at that point the rear seat would be deleted & sheet metal used to cover it over; or there is that EXPENSIVE Seibon carbon fiber rear seat delete option! ;^p |
