Scratch Right After Opti
1 Attachment(s)
Just had my GBS BRZ Optied for the second time (had to go to paint shop after being keyed and I wanted it done right so I had the whole thing redone). A week later I noticeed the scratch in the pic. It's just behind the passenger door and is about 1 1/2 indeed long. I don't want to take it back to the detailer for cost and logistic reasons.
Does anybody have tips for dealing with this? I was thinking about masking as close as possible and using some light compound on a very small foam applicator. I know that will take off a small portion of the Opti but I'm really just trying to make the area less noticeable. If I get the masking really tight and work carefully I think the different gloss shouldn't be too glaring. It's a daily driver so I'm sure this is the first of many blemishes. Any other ideas out there? Thx in advance. |
thats in the paint. id try to tape it off, and compound it and try to bring the shine back with some buffing and or touch up primer, paint, clear coat.

It looks worse than it is in the pic. I think it's just in the clear.

then you would be fine with a polishing compound, then bring back the polish. clay bar should help
