Portland Raceway Track Day for PDX86ers in September 6th for beginners and up

Everyone had a great time August 9th at the first FR-S/BRZ organized track day so I'm posting the next one. I'd like to get a group of us together to do a track day at Portland International Raceway. It's cheap, a lot of fun, and very safe. If you have never done it before you'll need to do the 'Ground School' which is a classroom session the night before the track day in which you'd join everyone that's already been through the school training. Below is the info on both the beginner ground school and the HPDE (High Performace Drivers Education) track day. If you sign up please post it so I can add you to the list of us that are going. Helmet rentals available--$10

Seems like you're at a car show every week so I'm not surprised another one is conflicting with an event I posted. ;) Once winter comes you will be bored since there won't be any more car shows. ;)

Lol so true!! Only think i can hope for is when winter is around that there is no snow on the ground and the car isn't in the shop for more mods. Then i might be able to make it to one of your events. Plus i just wanted to give you a heads up since this show is a huge Subaru event. Some of the other BRZ's might be at it!!!

If I can make it which day is the car show so I can clean my car up and drive up for the day? I couldn't find that info on their site.

The show is on Saturday, not Friday I believe. Will talk this over with Wife, but I am in to finally track the BRZ. Lot's of weight was removed so it will be fun to see the difference.

I'm registering for this one too. I bought this car with the intent to track it and after my first time out it's a done deal. Time to start building her as a track dedicated car.

Kevin's confident now since he's lapped an Sti and held off a supercharged Camaro. :D

I wanna do it again, concerned about costs though. Plus at this rate Im going to have to replace the tires and do other expensive maintenance soon :p But man, good times, and I know I can do better!

Man I want to go so bad but I need new tires!

Probably only going to get 4 track days out of my tires. I would assume my times will improve each time out and tires will just progressively burn off faster :)
