Plastidip on Firestorm FRS

dipped the door handles, gas lid, side view mirror, front lip, rear badges, side badge area, and of course the OEM Rims. I am probably going to remove it from the gas lid.

Feedback welcome!

Front lip looks good. Wheels are fine, as well as the FR-S logo on the back.
Rest of it... I'd remove. I mean, for the side view mirrors people pay extra on super basic cars to get the color match on those. I don't understand the point of plasti-dipping that at all, just makes it look like a cheaper car.

Ok on rear badge, but not so much on the trim where the rear badge is on, looks funny. No on gas cap either, but other than that it isnt too bad though I agree with @PSORngr that it makes it look cheap with the mirrors and door handles. the front lip area is kinda cool though

i removed it from the gas lid. i did the trim on the back because i had a scratch there and wanted to cover it up. Maybe a noob question, but is there an easy way to remove the badges so i can plastidip them and then reattach?

It's possible, but pointless if you're plastidipping. Just mask off a rectangle with painter's tape around the badge and plastidip the area. Then just peel off the plastidip around the badge, it should separate on the edges on it's own really easily.

And only plastidip the bottom portion of the bumper like this one. I think yours extends too far up on the sides.
It'll look cleaner this way.

Maybe I'm loosing my taste as I get older, but I like what you've done.

Agree to clean up the front bumper as suggested, glad you removed from the gas door as well. I'm digging the door handles and fender widgets.

Did you take the emblem out when you dipped it?

Nope taped a square around the emblem so I could get the edges properly, make sure you cover up the entire car if your doing it outside in case of overspray. Took about 3 coats, take your time on the spraying, nothing worse than seeing silver spots, than I peeled off tape.

Than I used a toothpick to mark around the badge and the insides of it. Just be careful not to scratch your car buts its much easier with a toothpick, the plastidip comes off perfectly.
