Alabama folks, possible event soon?

Hey all :)

Was curious if any bama folks (or really any SE folks) would be down for setting up an event at Cheaha perhaps? Had a nice experience there several years ago at a Mazda gathering and figured it'd be a great way for us to all get together and enjoy a nice weekend of camping and cruising around.

I'll be more than happy to toss some cash at the event to make it a worth while event. Perhaps some local sponsors as well, who knows? I'd love to meet up at some point with anyone interested in helping coordinate it.

I have a forum I've set up for south eastern owners (ft86se.com). Not trying to take members away from these forums. It's honestly just an area for organizing events and a place for us SE folks to have a lil place of our own.

I've talked with an admin and he was passing it on to the site owner if it was fine to post the forum up officially but I haven't heard back. I figure plugging it in a thread on creating an event won't be an issues. So if anyone wants to help with the site as well just let me know :)

But back on topic, I'm down for any suggestions for where to meet up. Any activities people would like and perhaps even some prizes (intake, armrest, etc).

I would show up to any event between montgomery and nashville.

Would be nice to get a bunch of people together. There are at least 6 frs/brzs in Huntsville. 2 I think in Scottsboro

Been seeing more and more twins lately. Maybe mid October would be ideal for a meet up at cheaha? Let me know what everyone thinks. Again fill free to use my forums.... They are just kinda sitting there lol

My name in Josh, I am from Dothan, and I have a 2013 FR-S White Out 6MT. I have a few mods already: Perrin over pipe, Invidia catless front pipe, Invidia SS catback, and Injen black intake. I have just ordered some Tom's tail lights and some 17x8 Enkie RPF1s (silver), with some Michelin pilots...225/45/17 all around.

Many of you know of me though my other car, a 92 white Civic Hatch, with a K20 motor swap... I am glad to be here., and a meet sounds great.

awesome that we're getting this much interest! the weather is getting nice so im hoping this month will be a great time. would everyone want to meet first? say at cars and coffee or just go ahead and shoot for something at cheaha?

great videos too btw! also, don't forget to sign up over at ft86se.com as i'll be updating that more often and adding a calendar up soon. looking forward to meeting everyone!

hoping to finish up my exhaust by the time we all meet. just finished installing my borla uel's saturday (and burning the shit out of my hand). just need to grab an overpipe which i plan on buying tonight and my exhaust will be finished. probably going with motiv but have been thinking of private label. not sure about the quality though :\

Over pipe.

Perrin over pipe is great quality, I like and the price isn't bad either. You'll have to take loose your passenger side motor mount, in order to easily maneuver the over pipe into place...I you didn't already know this.

really? well that kinda sucks... everything has been easy so far as far as modding this car lol.

when we put the headers on this weekend it seemed like it would be pretty straight forward for the overpipe. but i guess i'll see soon. i may actually grab the perrin tonight :D

I went to my local exhaust shop, a good friend of mine works there. We put the car on the lift and was having a hard time getting the factory over pipe out. So, we took off the passenger side motor mount nut, then put a jack under the passenger side of the motor and was able to get it out. We had to jack the engine up a little further and the Perrin went in with a little bit of cussing :mad0260: and maneuvering it into place. I would say, that it would definitely be a pain in the ass to put it on in your driveway, but i suppose it can be done.
Where exactly in Alabama are you from ?
