Wheel recommendations?
 

I am looking for some wheels but i dont want to spend over $1000 i know its a low budget but it can be done and thats why I'm coming to the best of the best to ask for some recommendations. I'm open to anything aslong as its under $1000 :thanks: Oh and i have a Raven FRS.

I got a set of 17x8 axis xfactor graphite with 215/-45-17 ventus v12 tires. For sale under a 1000$ free ship in east coast

$1000 is enough for "wheels". Maybe not, "& tires".

I feel 17's look good on this car. So I decided to use my stock tires on my new 17's. With a grand for new 17's you will have many options. If you are trying to up-size to 18" and get new tires, you will have to get budget wheels and tires.

Search 5x100 on ebay. It will give you an idea of what is out there in your price range. (not that ebay is the best place to buy wheels)

XXR 527 Gold and XXR 531 are really catching my eye but i cant decide..

There is more to consider then looks (style & color) when choosing wheels. Also consider:

Size
Width
Offset
Weight
Reputation

Determine what is most important to you and conduct your search from there.

What would a good fitment be? I've read 18x8.75 +35 front and +20 rear is good for the XXR 527? What do you think?

I bought these. $720 for the entire set. Weigh only 17.2 lbs and look awesome.

What are you looking for?

Is performance more important than looks? Are you looking for a flush fit over some poke or tuck? This is one of those rare moments in life where it's all about you :)

I wont need much for performance, I wont do any tracking or anything as there arent any around where i am located :( So the only thing close to racing is maybe a street drag or two, I like poke. But not overdone. :)

Using this "calculator" you can play with various wheel and tire combinations to help determine the size and offset of the rim and how different ties will profile.

To achieve a consistent poke front to rear will require a staggered wheel arrangement. With a staggered set-up you can not cross rotate your tires.

If you want "near consistent" poke, you can find a square setup that pokes a little at the front and be flush at the rear. Of course, you could always use spacers at the rear too. 6mm is about all you need to make the offset similar.

Regarding your original post, there are a lot of great wheel manufacturers that make budget wheels (less then $250 a piece). Decide on the style you like (number of spokes, or mesh...whether you want a protruding lip or flush...you get the idea) and then research those manufacturers that make wheels with the specs that you settle on using the calculator.
