Need hotel recommendation in Atlantic City
Hi, This isn't related to our beloved Twins, but since it's a regional forum...
I'm planning to go to Atlantic City with my fiancee in couple of weeks. I've been there just once and stayed at Borgata Hotel. I know it's a really nice hotel compared to other ones. We're trying to stay in Casino hotel but the price is a bit too high. If it's out of our budget, we're looking to stay in a regular hotel. Do you guys have any recommendations? My findings so far.. Borgata (way over 500) Golden Nugget (~550) Caesars (~600) Sheraton Chelsea Bally Activities we plan to do are some gambling fun, explore every bit of boardwalk, bit of shopping and any attractions around the area. Also, we would love some nice ocean view too. It's going to be Saturday and Sunday night, so I am expecting some cost. My budget for room is around $500 with tax. So if anyone had any experience or recommendations on any of the places I mentioned or if you have any, please reply to this thread! I really appreciate it. |
I got a taj mahal suite (not sure the offical name). Had a living room, dining area, jacuzzi, double sink bathroom with separated toilet and stand up shower. Had an ocean view but no balcony. It was 150$ or less, cant remember exact rate, for a night. Maybe it was off season or a weekday but it was a nice deal and spent the extra on beer and room service lol

The Taj is one of my favorites as is the Tropicana. Be safe and have fun! |
Yea, the liquor store I went to was maybe 5 blocks from Taj and seemed like a ghetto kind of area. Like people drinking from paper bags kind of ghetto.

I'll look into Taj since other member mentioned it. |
Yeah the whole AC area is a bit Skeptical. Trump Taj, Golden Nugget, Harrahs should all be in you budget. Try searching Travelocity or any other search sites and you should be able to find a good deal depending on the time you plan to go.

I'm not sure how "classy" you want to be with your fiance but from my experience when I'm in Atlantic City the room is usually where we'd end up to crash. You're not in your room - you're out gambling, drinking, at the beach, shopping ...whatever. So who cares how nice (or not nice) it is? If you do, then I'd recommend spending the extra $$$ for a Casino room at the trop.
Otherwise, how about the Econolodge right next door? |
Thanks guys. I think the place is narrowed down...
Now... what are some of the places I should go to? I am searching as well, so any suggestions would be great.!! |
idk... i never payed for a room... id always get comped up untill sandy. idk why. maybe they are not as "loose" with the comps since the hurricane.
