[REQ]BRZ Independent Fog Lights
 

Seems like the Fr fog light relay may be inside the main body ecu, but has anybody tried to wire the fogs independently? The goal of the mod would be to use the factory switch to turn on and off the fog lights, WITHOUT having the headlights on.

Based on quick FSM browsing, I have a hunch supplying Ignition switched 12v through pin 2 of the 10a TAIL fuse can accomplish this...Can anyone please confirm?

BTW, this is only for BRZ, I know a lot of the FRS guys have done this, but mainly because they made their own harnesses with a different switch.

These fog lights seem pretty useless in the fog and rain. I know I'm not supposed to use high beams in the fog, but seems to give much more visibility than these fog lamps.

Originally, fog lights were supposed to be set lower in the car, so the angle of reflection doesn't blind you.

Unfortunately, I think these were only meant for looks.
