If you're into racing games or gaming physics, you'll find this interesting if you haven't seen it before.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KppTmsNFneg"]Revolutionary soft-body physics in CryEngine3 - YouTube[/ame]

This is the original video uploaded about a year ago showcasing the idea that vehicles in video games could have soft-bodies - similar to how a car in real life isn't static, moving on it's suspension and crushing in on itself when in a collision.

A couple of videos have come out since then showing off this "revolutionary" engine. More recently, they've been toying around with more of the physics aspect of the engine rather than simply demonstrating the crashing of cars.

A FREE tech demo which is playable was released 3 days ago is available here:

Runs on pretty much any Windows machine - I downloaded it and I've been messing around with it since.

A full list of controls can be found here:

If you're interested in purchasing access to the Alpha or supporting the developer which I figure is either a single person or a very small team:

I'd rather pay BeamNG 15 dollars versus pirating it so that hopefully one day we'll see more realistic racing simulators - not to mention the endless possible updates for this sort of platform.

Looks interesting. I'd love to see the next GTA with this sort of physics.
