Advanced car control clinic

Hey Norcal owners,

I am looking to for advanced car control clinic to help me better control my BRZ. I know about Skip barber and Jim Russell's school. I was wondering if there is any drifting school that can help me with controlling the car especially when the rear gets loose on you at higher speeds.

Any help would be appreciated!:burnrubber:

Not in Norcal but I went to this 86 Dynamic Driving event hosted by Mr. Moto Miwa (Moto-P in this forum) and they taught us how to do figure 8's and the basic concepts of drifting and it was a really fun day. Even some people from the Bay Area drove all the way, it's totally worth it.

Next event is this Aug 10th at Fontana, CA. You should come!

I have heard they have plans to ultimately expand the DDA to have it in NorCal so keep your fingers crossed... if I see Moto at 86FEST I will certainly encourage him to do so. :)

I asked if Moto was interested in doing one in the bay area, and he said if there is enough interest, he would bring the clinic to the bay area... its been a few months. I am not sure enough people are down for this type of driving

This is a car control clinic for beginners but the skid pad is still a lot of fun:

I took the class a few times back in the early 2000s.

Perhaps we should have a poll to quantify the interest in attending a norcal event. Might make the encouragement more convincing.

"87.24% of ft86club.com members would attend a driving dynamics course if held in norxcal." Or just make it up and say it anyways :)

I'd be interested

Count me in for a drift school; but I'd pass if it was a beginner car control class.

probably be interested in learning some stuff

I'd be interested in a class. It looks like the lessons might warrant using a spare set of tires so I'll have to take care of that first.

For everyone or anyone going to 86FEST please talk to MotoP and ask him to bring his program up north...!!! Show him that there is a lot of interest and maybe we can get something set up for 2014!!!
